FIRST DAY

Hi. My name is Keira Bakster, I'm your average 16 year old teenage girl, not popular enough for 100 likes on my selfie but known enough to stand out in a crowd.

Everyone has a story, in your story you are the main character and everyone else is either the funny, loveable sidekick or the dipshit enemy. In my story my funny loveable sidekick is my best friend, Caitlin Clifford and my dipshit enemy is my schools 'bad boy' or as I like to call him 'arrogant selfish cunt', Luke Hemmings.

My story begins on August 1st.

The wind roared harshly outside of my bedroom window, I sighed as I checked the weather, rain, wind, rain, hail and wouldn't you have guessed it? More rain.

Today was my first day back to school after a bliss relaxing 6 weeks of summer.

I threw on an old top with the word 'Nirvana' and a smiley face below it, I pulled on navy blue skinny jeans which were torn at the knees.

I crammed my feet into a pair of black converse and tied the laces, I brushed and straightened my hair after applying a light amount of make up.

"Keira breakfast" my mom yelled at me from downstairs

"Coming" I shouted back before stuffing some pencils into my bag and running down the stairs.

"Morning dear" my mom smiled at me as I sat down at the table

"Where's breakfast?" I asked as I examined the empty table

"It'll be ready in a minute" she chirped

"Why did you call me down if it isn't ready?" I huffed rolling my eyes

"Stop that attitude and be patient!" She demanded "call your brother and sister down for me please sweetie"

"Cam, Alec come down, or don't breakfast isn't even ready!" I shouted at the top of my lungs.

I heard footsteps and soon my brother appeared in the kitchen beside me

"Alec" I nodded my head

"Keira" he nodded back making me giggle a little.

Alec was my older brother, he was 17 and was a twin, my older sister Cameron is 17 and a twin, you see the connection?

"Did she do the 'breakfast is ready' trick?" He asked pulling out a chair and sat down next to me

"Yep" I replied popping the 'p'

"Typical" he sighed taking his phone out texting one of his friends.

"Hey" my sister greeted us as she arrived

"Hi" we all spoke in unison

"You look nice" she informed me

"Thanks I did this thing called 'washing' you should try it sometime" I joked

"Shut up or I'm not driving you" she laughed

"Fair play" I smirked

My mom plated breakfast and handed us each a plate with a grin.

"Where's Dad?" I asked chewing on a sausage

"He had to leave for work early" she forced a smile, something was off.

I formed an 'o' with my mouth deciding not to comment on the matter.

I hopped out of my sisters car and ran into school seeking shelter from the horrible weather.

I flung the front doors to the school open and sighed in relief from being out of the rain.

I felt a hand on my shoulder making me jump, I turned round and was greeted by my grinning best friend.
