'You're falling.'
"I KNOW!"
Wind whipped around Y/n's head as they plummeted toward the ground. If the realization of their confession wasn't enough to upset them, the grating voice of Jasper's criticisms was sure to piss them off.
'What's your plan again?'
"This was the plan!"
'Jumping out of the tower was your plan!?'
"Yes!"
'Nothing else!?'
"NO!!!"
Jasper's constant bugging stopped as the consequences of Y/n's actions hit them.
Literally.
The back of their head collided with a jagged rock as they descended past the crust of the planet and into one of the abandoned kindergartens. Their body flailed from sudden resistance, flipping them around wildly. They hit another rough cliffside, this time snagging their leg, further spinning them silly.
Once the planet decided Y/n knew who was boss, they finally kissed the ground. Their body bounced a few feet before coming to a heavy stop. Y/n lied there in a crumpled heap, barely conscious but still aware of their surroundings... and how much they hurt.
Y/n groaned as they attempted to sit up and inspect the damage done but stopped when they noticed the blurry figure standing nearby. Blinking away tears, their eyes finally focused on a familiar face. How welcoming it was; still to be determined.
'You're a moron. You know that, right?' Jasper snarled. Y/n attempted to reply but only managed a pained whine as a sharp, stinging sensation attacked their body relentlessly. Jasper shook her head in disgust. 'Pathetic.'
Y/n gasped for air as the pain finally subsided. Finding the strength, they rolled themself onto their stomach and pushed up slowly. Jasper watched as they struggled to stand, her eyes widening slightly as Y/n let out a sudden yelp.
Both glanced down to Y/n's right foot. It was limp and bent at an odd angle. It was broken, and on top of that, their gun was gone. Tears pricked the corners of Y/n's eyes once more as they shifted onto their left knee, slowly sliding their leg around to get a closer look. The pain wasn't unbearable, but they knew soon enough their adrenaline would run out. Yn was suddenly thankful for the mystery injection their other self had given them.
Wincing, they looked around for anything that might help them walk but saw nothing remotely useful. Sighing, Y/n began to scoot along the ground, pulling themself by their arms. Jasper watched the sad display, rubbing her face with a shake of her head.
'Really? You're going to crawl like a pest?' She asked, watching as they passed by her feet.
Y/n gritted their teeth as their broken foot went over a stone. "Better then laying here."

THUMP!
Rhodonite's head swiveled at the sound. That sounded... new.
"What was that?" She asked in a panicked whisper. The others had also frozen at the sound. It had been a very long time since they had heard something other than the occasional rock crumbling from time or the eerie whirring of the drones that roamed the area.
Fluorite slowly raised her head to the sky, closing her eyes as she focused. A moment passed as the group waited patiently for the large fusion to speak. Before she could open her mouth again, another unfamiliar sound bounced off the walls and entered the chamber they were all bunked in. It sounded like a groan. Fluorite turned to look down at her smaller companions.
