~3 Days Later~

I decided to wear a black dress that went below my knees. I left my hair down and let it do it's thing.

Today is Matt's funeral.
I told Jake about it and I requested I go alone.

"Today is the day we mourn for our beloved Matt. A wonderful son and a respectable Alpha. 21 years was not long enough. To just receive the gift of a mate. I would appriciate if everyone would put their heads down and have a moment of silence. Pray for this young soul."

Silence.

I want to hear something but nothing reaches my ears.

Matt... I care I really do... it's sad, depressing... but it doesn't hurt as much...

"Thank you. Now we will start the speeches of his friends and family. Whom ever is ready please, come to the podium."

Words can say a lot.

The day I met Matt and his pack I ate an orange and was contemplating if I should eat the peel. But the more I think about it I was sure I would be caught. Someone would be keeping tabs on me. I never had the sense someone is watching me but...

"Would you like to say a few words Ms. Rocker?" The pastor asked. I looked up from my hands and slowly nodded. I walked up to the podium and leaned on it for support.

"Lilac; youthful innocence and confidence. i really don't know what to say. In perspective I don't have to say anything to you, all of you. Matt knows how I feel, and what I think about him. If I say everything I feel here then it won't be our little secret anymore. Everyone will know exactly how or put words to what we felt. So then you will try to tell me how I feel when you really don't know. You aren't part of our bond but you are part of a connection that links all of together. I love Matt I really do but that needs to stay in my heart so I will never forget."

I walked off the podium and out into the yards. I need to find a tree. I went deep into the forest until I found a broad tree. I climbed up and started breaking branches. One after one. Branches littered the floor around the trunk. I sat in the empty area I created.

"Matt would you be mad that I found Jake? I still love you. Always... You know my birthday is coming up. I will O-ficially be twenty. Though I still can't consume alcohol. Would you let me drink when I turn twenty-one? Well if you don't then you can give me a sign or whatever that will make me stop."

"Hmm asking permission to drink from someone has gone above?"

"Macey."

"So were you going to tell anyone that you have a new addition to your life?" I looked down to the ground and saw her face blank of emotion.

"Would you want me to?" I asked.

"No not really cause I might try to attack you. But since I know now I not as impulsive."

"Want to sit up here?"

"Rather down here just to be safe."

"Is this how it's going to be from now on?" I questioned her.

She sat down at the base of the tree. "Until my ass gets out of my head then yes."

"Hmm new beginnings again." There was a moment of silence between us.

"Where are you going Elina?"

"Back to your grandmother's house. The only place I'm accepted at."

"To imagined she would actually welcome you."

I gave a sharp laugh. "It might just be that she feels sorry for him."

"Who?"

"Does it even matter who? Anyone that I come into contact to something bad happens."

Silence.

"It think you should leave," Macey said. I heard her stand up with leaved crunching beneath her feet.

I looked over and climbed down the tree. I faced away from Macey, not wanting to stand face to face.

"Maybe your right. But don't worry I will be long gone soon." I walked away from the church and back to the house. When I met the main road I called Ason to come pick me up.

I've lost and redeemed.
I've lost and redeemed.
I've lost....and redeemed.

Ason let me out the car and I walked inside to my room. Jake was laying on the bed sound asleep and mangled in the sheets.

I slipped my dress off and kicked off my shoes and snuggled up right next to him. He smelt nice and was warm.

Knock. Knock.

"Come in," I yelled towards the door. I decided the only thing I could do for my self that is different is play video games. Jake wad watching me kill all the zombies while slowly drawing circles on my back.

"Uh Elina there is a note that was left for you," Jessica said as she creeper in the room.

"From who?"

"Marie."

I paused the game and looked towards Jessica in her maid outfit holding the folded note. I reached my arm out and opened my palm. She dropped the note and stood there, interested what the note says.

Elina I'm gone. Don't try to save me but if you find me I won't run away.

Love, Marie

Marie isn't here. She really isn't here...

"When did she leave?"

"I don't know. I wasn't here all day."

"Well of course she didn't leave in the day. She left last night."

I got off the bed and looked at the note. Her curly hand writing connected all the letters together. We are still connected.

"Where is Carrie?"

"Outside in the garden." I turned to get Jake up but he was already behind me standing tall. I nodded and fast walked to the garden.

"Carrie."

"Yes child."

"She is gone."

"Who Marie?"

"Yes and we need to go find her."

"Does she want you to?"

"No not exactly-"

"Then leave it be."

"But-"

"Elina you have more pressing matters to concentrate on," Carrie said in a stern tone.

"Like what?"

"Where your life stands. They are already starting to watch, and I'm sure you don't want to harm anymore of your loved ones."

"You-"

"Elina stop." Jake had one arm wrapped around my waist. His mouth came very close to my ear.

"We will find her just not now," he whispered in my ear.

Marie.... Where did you go know?
What about the Reaper?
