~A New Day~

Jake went home after I went to bed last night. I ranted on and on for about an hour until I got so tired of saying my thoughts I fell out. Why did Marie leave? Is she with someone? Ugh...This is so annoying.

You know what I'm going to take a shower and wash my problems down the drain. Only if it was that easy. Afterwards I threw my hair in a ponytail and went to the dinning room to get something to eat. Carrie was sitting in her usual seat eating some oatmeal and drinking orange juice.

"Good morning Elina."

"Good morning Carrie."

"I decided that today we will find everything we can about you Elina. We will look through everything I have in the basement and also the dairy you got, Jocelyn's diary."

"Why now?" I asked and ate a piece of turkey bacon.

"I just know right now is the best time to see what we are dealing with."

"Okay when?"

"After you are done eating."

I stuffed my face with food. Eating this and that. "Okay I'm done let's go." I got out my seat and made my way to the basement. What more can I figure out?

"Okay when you went to the funeral I was looking through documents about the awakening and I found some interesting things though. And I realized you would be the perfect vessel."

"Perfect vessel?"

"Yes you have the right attributes to qualify."

"Uh..."

"Look here at this document I found about the Awakening. I can't read the signature at the end though," Carrie said. She was moving papers around inspecting some until she stopped at one parchment. I walked up right behind her and looked over her shoulder.

I gazed at the parchment until I reached the bottom. The signature is familiar. "That's Jocelyn's hand writing, her signature to be exact."

"If that's the case then all these weird codes were created by her. All of these were dated about 150 years ago."

"So there hasn't been an Awakening since then?" I asked.

"Yes that is the reason why it was so hard to figure out who it is. Everything linked to Jocelyn has been temporarily lost due to the different generations trying to find something that was never there."

Why would Anthony give me Jocelyn's diary if it's 150 years old?

"I have your the diary with me child. I asked Jessica to get it for me."

I would be made at Jessica but she works for Carrie. How serious is this to her?

"Well let me look at the codes and the diary and I'll figure out what she wanted us to know," I told Carrie and sat down at a desk.

She brought the dairy and codes on the papers to me and set it down. She seemed a little hesitant.

The first thing I read on the paper was Pass. 15. I opened the diary and looked through it. Nothing included Pass. 15.

Pass... Pass... Passage-

I flipped the pages to the 15 entry.

Dear Whoever,
Pain is all I feel. It hurt so much. As if I could feel the agony in every person that did something bad. Why is the fate I was given? To be a white wolf isn't pretty but bad luck. I can't trust everyone I thought I could. When will all this stop? Is this forever?

To Live Another Day,
Jocelyn

Okay it seems it starts here. First code...1:N-3:F
What does that even mean? It's a passage and how does it relate to the number 1?

I would say for the first letter but there is a letter already given. There are sentences...

First sentence, the letter N to third sentence, the letter F. I made a line from each of the letters.

Second code 1:N-3:C. So far I made an upside down V, a little spread out.

I continued connecting the codes until I had a sketch of something appear. Wait it's the sign of the clan that attacked us at the pack house. When Matt died...

Have they been around that long? Was it my fault that the fight happened? Is it because I'm a desendant of Jocelyn, another white wolf.

"Carrie this is what Jocelyn wanted us to see. This clan's sign. The one that attacked the pack."

"This is great. I finally have something to work with."

"Wait, what are you talking about?" I questioned her.

"Give me all the stuff now," Carrie said quickly and grabbed everything.

"But-" I heard the door get slammed and I turned around and the pounding was getting louder.

"Carrie-" I said and turned around. But she was gone.

"Carrie!?"

Where the hell did she go? I can't escape. The door exploded open and foot steps hurriedly came down the steps. I hid under one of the closed desk and prayed so hard for them not to find me.

I was so quiet that a breath sounded loud. I can hear people walking around.

Please do not find me.

I heard the shredding of clothes. Someone transformed. They are going to sniff me out.

The click of the claws echoed out in the room.
Click.
Click.

The wolf rounded the corner of the desk and looked dead at me.
Please.
I mouthed to it. No emotion showed in its eyes. It was silent and just stared. It nodded it's head and looked behind its self.

Great it won't say anything. It trotted out of sight. I'm fine thank you so much. Now I just have to wait for them to leave.

But then it howled...

Shit.

I tried to get away but at instant I was shot with something in my back. I pull it out and drop it to the ground. I turn around and see a familiar face. I remember him from a party I went to with Carrie.

His name was...Al-

"Alex?" I whispered.

"How touching, you remember."

My body was getting weaker and so wear the muscles in my eyelids to stay open.

"You- you asshole."

I fell to the floor.

Is it over?
