Chapter 27

I woke up with Matt's arm wrapped around me. The sun was peeping through the curtains, today is the day. I got up and so did Matt. I looked over at him and grabbed his hand and gave it a squeeze.

We got up and went down stairs. Everyone I could tell were anxious. We don't know exactly when they are coming, we aren't not sure we are prepared either. But I'm scared more than anything.

"Everyone will go outside as horrible as it is we have to wait for them. Be ready," Matt said and then took me outside. The sun was getting higher in the sky. Showing light when it's clear darkness is coming.

In a group we stood looking into the forest. As not seeing the place we love but a barrier for the danger that will come through it. I haven't learned to use each element to my best ability. But I will fight till the end. I pray to the MoonGoddess that more will survive than killed.

"We wait for danger to come and wait for the pain we might receive but if our side is right we might be able to survive."

Then we heard it... the howl of battle.

"Shift!" Matt yelled. I stayed in human form as I don't know if I can control the elements in wolf form.

The first Werewolf leaps out and then many come in behind. The battle has started.

My pack races forward and attacks. The rouges come at the same force. I stay in place not stupid enough to get in the mix. A Werewolf comes at me and I bring up Earth watching it fly up in the air. I see another in the corner of my eye and call up more. I swipe across and smack the wolf with. You could hear bones crack.

More and more rouges just kept on coming from the forest. I got on a higher elevation to get and advantage point. I look around and sense a Werewolf from my pack getting attack by two Werewolves at once. I connect to the ground and find the pin point. Two sharp rocks come from the ground and pierce the two Werewolves.

A Werewolf then jumps and pushes me to the ground below. It almost bit my head off when another wolf tackled it and bit it's neck. Another one ran towards me and I quickly open the ground and watch it fall inside and then close it up. One was about to jump on me when I roll to the side and watch it land where I previously was.

My palms are heating up, I slowly stand up and walk back. It growls and then leaps. Fire goes through my palms and burn the wolf. I hear it cry in agony. I keep on fighting but then suddenly I feel a sharp pain in my chest.

'Mate'

I need to find Matt. I search through the battle field until I caught his scent and went to it. What I saw broke me down. Matt was on the ground in human form barely breathing. I ran over to his body and went to the ground.

"Matt!"

I grabbed his head and put it in my lap. "Matt please wake up you can't leave me! Not now!" I was crying tears like waterfalls going down my face. Matt's eyes opened and I kissed him deeply.

"Matt?" I whispered. I saw a Werewolf come at us but then it hit what seemed like a force field.

"Matt we need to get you inside." There was a huge gash on his side, bleeding like a waterfall.

"It's to late they had wolfs-bane. I'm slowly dying."

"Don't say that!"

"Elina beautiful I love you, and I need you to keep fighting and living for me."

I nodded choked on tears. Matt wiped some of the tears off my face.

"Don't cry." I wiped my face not wanting the last time he sees me like this. I had a sad smile on my face.

"I love you to Matt." I saw him smile. I kissed him softly one last time. He still had the smile on his face but slowly his eyes closed and the pain I have multiplied. I screamed in agony, wishing this pain could go away.

I started to stand and I looked around and it was just a bunch of blood shed. I then got really angry. It was all their fault! He is gone!

I walked over Matt's body and I could feel the ground shake under each of my steps. My claws extended and my vision was brighter everything illuminated with white light.

"How could you do this?!" I yelled. My voice carrying.

"THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSON TO ME IS GONE!"

My palms opened and white light shot up, a ball of white fire was being created. I gave them a smile, a smile made to tell them of the things I would like to do to torturer them. When I was satisfied with the size I threw the ball of fire and I watched everything explode. The forest grew ablaze with a white flame. But with now emotions connecting I laughed, I laughed loudly.

I kept on going until no one was left. I was still laughing when everything was finished. I started to calm down and then fell to the ground. I chuckled slightly until I laid on the ground unconscious.

Carrie just finished her lunch and decided to head back to her room and read one of her favorite romance novels by her favorite author. She entered her room and took off her shawl.

She looked through her book shelf and found the book she was looking for. She sat in her favorite chair by the window, bright light coming through the window. She read her book but then noticed the lack of light that started to come through. She looked at the window and saw dark clouds coming through. Before she could even wonder the whisper went through the room.

"She's awakened."

Carrie already knew what it meant. She shut her book and stood up and put it away. She left her chambers not looking back.
