Note: This is another shitty emergency story. I'm sorry. I seriously need to pull myself together soon.

Gerard's pov

I sighed as I crossed my arms and put my head down, giving up on attempting makeup for the millionth time. "Gerard!" I heard someone yell as I jumped, looking around. "Over here!" Another familiar voice shouted. I pushed my window up to see Frank in his car alongside Mikey and Ray who were waving their hands in the air to grab my attention, Ray standing outside the car while doing so. I glanced around before looking back. Nobody was home, and I doubt anyone would return anytime soon. I gulped as I ran downstairs while my heart raced. "Frank, I look ridiculous right now-" "Oh shut up, you look fine. Come on!" Frank rolled his eyes, pushing his sunglasses up as he stepped out of his car. He dropped his cigarette and butted it into the ground before taking my hand, gently dragging me towards the car. "Are you sure?" "Duh, now get in the car losers! We're going shopping!" Frank announced as Ray got back in the car while Mikey cheered loudly, taking a step back as Frank bowed down and opened the door for me with a huge smile. I got in as he shut it before going back to the drivers seat. "So.. what's this really all about?" "Nothing, I just thought you might need- no, LOVE some new clothes, y'know? I really do love your little do-it-yourself hustle, but you seriously need better materials to say the least. Also, don't even try to hide the fact that you still try on your sister's skirts when nobody's around." "Hey! H-How do you know about that?!" I cut him off before he could say any more. He just chuckled as I could see Mikey grinning through the rearview mirror.

The entire ride to the mall was silent as I just fidgeted with my fingers while looking down. "Is everything okay Gerard?" Mikey asked, snapping me back to reality. "Wh- uh- yeah, I mean, why wouldn't it be?" "Nothing, you know.. just.. your sister told me about how she saw your computer a couple days ago." I swallowed hard. "A-And.. what did she see exactly?" "I think you know." I held my breath. "She saw that huh?" "Mhm." "What else did she tell you?" I asked, my voice shakier than ever. He shrugged, "nothing else, just that." I glanced over at Frank who had been staring at me the entire ride when he wasn't looking at the road, silently hoping he wouldn't ask. I remembered vividly that I was looking for cheap binders, and I didn't want him to feel like he "failed me" as he was rich as hell while I was just some guy who still lived with his parents. "It's okay, we all love you regardless of what your gender is okay? We're here to stay. Screw what your sister thinks." "Hey, that's my girl you're talkin' about man!" "And this is MY girlfriend I'm talking to, MAN." Frank shot back immediately, causing Mikey to roll his eyes and sit back. I couldn't help but soften at the fact that he called me his girlfriend instead of boyfriend when I was still in the mist of figuring things out. "Sorry about that baby, but what I'm saying is that we're all gonna support you no matter what okay?" He said in an assuring voice, taking my hand in his. "Actually um.. is it okay if you just refer to me as they/them for now? I'm just.. unsure for now, y'know?" "Of course, I'll try my best to adjust. Please call me out of I mess up, but know it's not intentional if I do, I promise." "Okay," I nodded, letting out a small sigh of relief. "You can call me out too alright?" "Yeah, me three." "Thanks guys," I smiled, finally being able to look at everyone in the eye.

We spent most of the day strolling around clothing stores which just consisted of Frank paying for everything while Ray and Mikey gave honest opinions on the outfits I tried on. I felt guilty about spending Frank's money and tried to spend as less as possible even though he kept saying I looked good in everything I wore, even buying random stuff he didn't even show me until we left the shop, but the fear was eating me alive. I knew he meant well, but felt too scared to say anything just incase he thought I was being ungrateful or taking advantage of him. I unintentionally let out a loud sigh as we were walking back to his car, causing everyone else to stop walking. I looked up at everyone, confused. "Why'd we stop?" "Are you tired? We can sit down for awhile before walking again if you'd like." "Oh- no, it's okay. Um, sorry.." I mumbled awkwardly. Frank's face got serious as he told everyone he wanted to talk to me alone before pulling me aside, leaving the shopping bags with them.

"Frank, I'm fine, really." "Lies. I can see right through you, and you know you're a horrible liar, right?" "Uh.." I stuttered, fumbling for words. "Tell me what's wrong," "Nothing, I swear. I'm fine, let's just go." He didn't buy it one bit. "..whatever it is, you can always talk to me okay?" He murmured before taking my hand and walking back to the rest of the group. Ray and Mikey dared not to question it as we walked back to Frank's car, putting all the bags in the trunk. I wanted so badly to lay my head on Frank's shoulder and hold is hand in silence while he drove. I wanted to hug him and apologise for being all gloomy and tell him how much today meant to me. I wanted to- "Gerard." Someone shook me. "Um, you alright there?" "Right, yeah- no, I mean yeah I'm fine. What is it?" "Frank asked you if you wanted him to drop you off first." "It's fine, drop me off last." I could see Mikey giving me a worried look from the side, but quickly turned back to face the front.

-after everyone else got dropped off-

"We're here, do you need me to help you get the stuff from the trunk?" "Sure," "Okay." Frank kissed my cheek before getting out of the car. He helped to bring everything up to my room as neither of us spoke a word. I could already tell he felt like he'd failed me as he refused to even look in my direction while his voice remained low, and I only had a few seconds to tell him just how wrong he was.

"Frank, wait." I blurted, grabbing his arm just as he was about to get in his car.

He paused as he turned around, locking eyes with me.

"I-Is it okay if you come in for a moment?" "I've got all the time in the world," he locked his car, the both of us stepping back inside. We sat on the edge of the sofa as I took in a deep breath before speaking, "I um.. I wanted to thank you for today.. and also say sorry. I don't like spending your money and I don't want you to feel like I'm only with you because of that. I can try to pay you back soon-" "It's okay, you don't need to apologise for anything or pay me back. I bought all of that for YOU. I want you to feel comfortable in your own skin, and I'm willing so stay by your side no matter what. I'm proud to call you my partner. You're.. everything to me." He blushed, his cheeks getting red while his voice got more timid towards the end. Frank wasn't good at expressing his love by saying it out loud, let alone in the form of words. I giggled as I lifted his chin to face me, connecting our lips. His hand wrapped around my nape as he kissed me back lovingly, our free hands entwining with one another. I twirled his hair around my fingers as both of us pulled away, smiling and flustered. "I love you Frank." "I love you too, Gerard. Always."
