Imagine: Being Kol's ex-fiancé and him being jealous of your new boyfriend ( you and your new bf are human btw).

You and your new boyfriend Dylan, were walking through the streets of Mystic Falls, enjoying each other's company.

You both were having a nice conversation, until you bump into someone, and you stumbled a little. Looking up, your eyes find a familiar pair of brown eyes, and your hearts beats harder as you recognized who he was.

He was Kol Mikaelson, your ex-fiancé. You broke it off between the two of you because you found him cheating on you one night, having sex with another woman. He tried to explain to you that he was drunk, but it still wasn't enough of an excuse to do it.

"Hey Y/N, long time no see." He said with a smirk on his face, and you nodded at him. His sight moved to your right, finding Dylan. "I think we don't know each other, man."

Dylan shook his head, letting him know they don't know each other. He stretched his hand with a small smile on his face. "I'm Dylan, Y/N's boyfriend."

Kol's smirk disappeared, and gave Dylan a dirty look. He politely shook Dylan's hand, giving it a hard squeeze to hurt him a little. "I'm Kol, Y'N's ex-fiancé." You palmed myself mentally, was that really necessary?

You cleared your throat and they both looked at you. Dylan looked surprised, and Kol was smirking at his reaction.

"I think we should go, we have somewhere to go." You said taking Dylan's hand in yours and you noticed that Kol stared at your hands laced together with a sad expression.

You walked quickly out of the scene, pulling Dylan with you. He quickly came beside you and kissed your cheek, making you happy that he understood that you wanted to forget that encounter.

You knew deep down, the reason why you left quickly wasn't because of the awkwardness of the situation, but because if you stayed there any longer, you would throw yourself at his arms, telling him how much you miss him.

You still had feelings for him, but would never admit it out loud.

Kol looked at you as you walked away with your new human boyfriend, feeling hurt and jealous.

He knew you deserved someone better, a human person who could spend all his life with you, giving you something you've always wanted, a family of your own, and he couldn't. He was a vampire, and you were human.

He knew you deserved it, but he couldn't help but feel jealous as he saw how your hand was now in Dylan's, and not in his. He wanted you back, but he knew it was better this way.
