Imagine: Kol knowing the effect he has on you, despite you trying to deny it, as he can hear your heart race when trying to seduce you.

"Isn't she beautiful brother." You heard Kol say to Klaus who was sitting next to him at the bar. You blushed as you continued cleaning tables. You didn't need to have vampire senses to hear Kol from across the room. You were drawn to everything about him - his voice, his charm, his looks. You scolded yourself, Kol was a flirt and you couldn't imagine ever being able to get under his skin like he got under yours.

You were so lost in your thoughts that you didn't notice Kol come up behind you, "Guess who." Kol whispered in your ear, his breath tickling you. You instantly recognised Kol's voice and turned to face him. You opened your mouth to say something snarky in response Kol's appearance but you forgot whatever you were going to say when you looked into his eyes. His gaze was intense and you easily got lost in it. Kol smirked, noticing your loss of words, "Wow did I render the mighty Y/N speechless? Well, I guess it's no surprise," he shrugged, "I have been known to have that effect on the ladies." Kol laughed and you rolled your eyes, "Oh really? The only thing that renders me speechless," you said making sarcastic quotation marks with your hands,"is how ridiculously arrogant you are." Kol put his hand over his heart and pulled an expression of mock hurt, "Ouch, why don't you just drive a stake through my heart while you're at it?" "Sounds tempting" you replied.

You sighed realising that you still had tables to clean and Kol was a distraction, "Look I've got work to do Kol, what do you want?" Kol's eyes filled with desire as he closed the distance between you two, "Isn't it obvious? I want you..." You took a sharp intake of breath, that hadn't been the answer you were expecting. Kol put his hand to your cheek and gave you a smug grin when he heard how fast your heart was beating, "And I know that you want me too." He whispered as he leaned in to brush his lips against yours. Before his lips could make contact, you pushed him away, "Knock it off Kol. The only thing I want from you is for you to leave me alone." You gave him a cold look, it didn't matter how much you liked Kol, you thought that he didn't see you as anything more than a one night stand and you didn't want that. Kol just smirked as he used vamp speed to wrap his hands around your waist and pull you closer to him so that your body was pressed against his, "Are you sure about that?" He asked knowingly, leaning his face down to yours so that his lips were just centimetres away from your own. You felt your blood rush to your cheeks as your heart started to pound. You managed to say a weak and breathless "I'm sure" causing Kol to let out an arrogant laugh, "You don't sound too certain darling."

You saw a glint of playfulness in Kol's eyes as he gave you a seductive smirk, "I can hear how fast your heart beats when I do this..." He whispered lowly as he trailed his hands up your arms. Your breath hitched and shivers travelled through your body. "And this..." Kol said as he pressed his lips to your neck, planting kisses up and down. You felt his hands slide from your waist and up your sides. The sensation made you weak at the knees. You moaned when his lips met yours and you started to kiss him back before suddenly pulling away, "Stop Kol! I'm not doing this with you." You said somewhat reluctantly.

A look of sadness and hurt flashed across Kol's face before quickly disappearing. "Why not?" He asked with a slightly confused tone, searching your eyes for the answer. You just looked away, refusing to answer him. You heard Kol sigh and he lifted your chin so that you were looking at him, "I know that you like me Y/N but I guess I'll let you pretend for a while that you don't." He said before giving you one last look and walking away arrogantly. You breathed a sigh of relief when Kol was a safe distance away from you. It took all of your self control to resist him. Even now you wanted to follow him and run into his arms. You knew that you liked Kol, maybe even loved him, but the problem was that you didn't believe that he truly liked you back in the same way.
