"Why isn't she picking up?"

Zayn's eyebrows were furrowed as he paced the length of his hotel room. At the sound of the operator's voice, his thumb pounded on the end button, and then quickly redialled.

"Pick up, pick up, pick up," he muttered anxiously as he threaded his hand through his hair. The operator's voice came on for the umpteenth time. His finger slammed onto the screen as he let out a groan.

He redialled anyway.

It's been a week since he was with Felicity in her mother's room (as she told him) and he had given her space (advice from his mother and sisters), but a week must've been a long time for space. He had been hoping in the time he'd give her space that she'd call. That she'd asking for him or something; but she didn't.

"The caller-" the operator's voice was cut off as he pressed the screen again, ending the call. He didn't know how many times he had called her but he was getting irritated.

Was she avoiding him?

It's the only answer. He didn't want to believe it though.

Zayn raised his head towards the sealing, pulling out some kinks in his neck from a;; the worrying he was doing.

He called again. Zayn's eyes drifted towards the door, wishing that they would let him out. He knew that there was a heavy downpour outside, but he wanted to see her. He needed to see her and see if she was okay or not.

This time, he didn't wait for the operator come on when he threw the phone in aggravation. Both his hands threaded through his hair this time as he sighed. That was a bit too harsh but this worry was driving him crazy.

He picked up his phone and was surveying if it was okay or not when it rang. HIs hands fumbled with the phone before he was able to press accept.

He had thought it had been Felicity but when he didn't hear her sweet voice through the phone, his whole body sagged.

"Hey mate," Liam greeted him with a tone of worry in his voice.

Zayn sighed. "Hey Liam." He sat down on his couch and leaned forward on his knees.

"You okay?"

Zayn was silent for a while before: "She's avoiding me."

"Why would you say that?"

"Because she won't answer my calls." Zayn's eyes flickered back towards the window. The pounding of the rain the only other sound filling the silence. "Why is she avoiding me?"

"I don't know, mate. I'm afraid I can't help you on that."

"Let me talk to him," a muted voice on the other end had said. "I can help him." It was Danielle.

Zayn clenched his fists. He was jealous. Liam was with Danielle. She wasn't avoiding him.

"Hello, Zayn?"

Zayn's jealousy faded away at the softness of her tone, but only slightly. "Hey Dani."

"I heard about Felicity. She seems like a great girl." Danielle seemed to hover over the word 'great' so obviously she also heard about what had happened a week ago. It was all over the news.

He chuckled, unamused. "Great, girl, huh."

"Okay, maybe she's not so great but it sounds to me that you really really like her."

Zayn was quiet. "That's cause I do."

"Then she must be a great girl," Danielle replied, this time more firmer. "And you know what you have to do, right?"

Zayn got the gist of what she was suggesting but he didn't think he could make it passed the guards that were guarding the lobby below. "I can't go out," he told her.

"Bullshit," Danielle hissed. "You can, and you will. If you like Felicity as much as you do, you will go and find a way out."

"But-"

Danielle cut him off. "Look, with all your protests, it seems like you don't like this girl very much." The accusation made him ball his hands into fists, "That or you're just a wimp. Come on, Zayn. Man up! You're a member of one of the most hottest bands in the world. You shouldn;t be afraid of what she'll say to you or how she'll act, If you like this girl a lot- and at this point I should probably just say love- you will fight for her. You won't give up until she talks to you. You won't give up on her. Got it? So get your arse off that couch and SKAT."

Then the dial tone was left to him.

Danielle had basically been blunt to him and he couldn't with that. He was scared. He didn't want her to push him away and he didn't want to see her face if he had done something to hurt her. But he didn't want her out of his life. The sheer thought of it depresses him and now, well, starting now, he was going to fight. And fuck, if she does push him away, he'll come right back.

Felicity's a girl worth fighting for, and he'll fight for her.
