He watched the car get smaller and smaller as it disappeared from his sight.

He didn't make it.

The door he had been viciously pounding on just a few minutes ago before he had noticed the car that was driving passed him, opened. The rain continued to heavily pour down on him, drenching him and his clothes as he stared into Felipe's blank face.

"Where did she go?" The whisper held no emotion but he could feel some anger brew within him.

Felipe shook his head, letting an apologetic expression come over his features. "Come in."

Zayn pursed his lips, his eyes squinted through the downpour. "Where did she go," he repeated, not moving to make a step in.

"Why don't you-"

"Where is she!"

Felipe's eyes shut tightly before letting out a sigh. "I knew this would happen," Felipe whispered to someone behind him.

A dainty hand appeared on Felipe's shoulder and then a blonde head was by his side- most likely whispering something. Whatever it was, Felipe nodded, and sent Zayn one more furtive glance, before turning around and going back into the house.

Replacing Felipe though, was Melody. She took out an umbrella and opened it, and then stepped out. She had on a bright yellow raincoat, contrasting the entire mood. Zayn waited till Melody was right in front of him until he spoke. "Where is Felicity?"

His voice sounded broken, much less harsher than before. Melody sighed before raising the umbrella so that it covered the both of them. "I can't exactly tell you where they went, orders from Trina, but I can tell you that they will come back. You just have to wait." Zayn's already dim mood went even lower, his heart sinking in his chest. "Zayn, I can see how much you care for my sister. Everyone in my family can, and to be honest, the last few weeks that she's known you, has been her in her happiest despite everything. And we're grateful to you about that. So don't take it the wrong way if we don't really tell you much about what's going on about her. It's not ours to tell." Melody laid a hand on his arm in a comforting manner. "She cares for you, too. I promise that. But- well, she needs to go for awhile. She needs to take this break."

Zayn nodded.

Melody was probably waiting for his response, but he didn't know what to say. After a few minutes of silence, she sighed again, letting her hand fall to the side. From the corner of his eye, he saw her slip a hand into her pocket. She extracted a crumpled up paper and held it out. "Here. She left this, probably because of you. I guess some part of her subconscious didn't want you to think she didn't care. Keep it, okay?"

Melody slipped the thing in his hand, making sure it was shielded from the rain, before turning back to go into the house.

She was at the threshold when Zayn had asked, "When will she be back?"

Melody pursed her lips. "No one knows."
