Izuku is standing by the bar as the voice he hasn't heard in what felt forever, spoke in his mind. 'You again.'
'In the flesh. I still can't believe you have improved this much. Yet alone, killed people.'
Izuku looked around the room to see if anyone else entered and saw no one. He sat down on the bar stool and looked at the table. 'Why are you just now showing up?'
'Because I can.'
'. . . Thanks, but I have found where I want to be. I don't need you anymore.'
'Is that so?'
'Yeah. I pretty much got it figured out. I was able to find a stable place with a group of people with the same motive as me and surrounded by a team I never had.'
'I wonder how long that feeling will last.'
Izuku looked to the side in confusion. 'What do you mean?'
'You can't trust anyone.'
'I feel like I can trust them.'
'Remember the last time you trusted someone? Remember how that turned out?'
Izuku remained silent.
'You trusted your parents to love you unconditionally and they failed. You trusted your sister to be by your side when no one else would and she failed. You thought your best friends would understand you and still be your friend and they failed. Everyone in your life that you've trusted has all failed you.'
There was a long pause between the two. Izuku listened to what the voice was saying, and he was right. They have failed him, and he doesn't want to believe that the people he surrounds himself with will the same. Especially Toga.
'It's only a matter of time that they will do the same.'
Izuku remained silent once he uttered those words. He thought for a moment, the possibility of him be right is 50/50 split. 'Then what do you think I should do?'
'Don't believe every little thing they say to you. Everyone has their own secrets.'
Izuku stayed quiet and thought about what he said. 'Then why should I believe you? You haven't given me a reason to trust you. You won't even give me your name.'
'You can trust me, or you cannot trust me. Choice is up to you, but don't say I didn't warn you.'
' . . . Just who a-'
"Izuku!"
Izuku jotted up in his seat and looked behind him to see Toga looking at him concerned. "Are you alright? I was calling your name for the past minute."
"Yeah, I'm fine. I was just thinking deeply," Izuku responded as he readjusted his shirt and gripped the water bottle now on the floor. Toga did not believe, but didn't push it either.
"If you say so, you can talk to me whenever," Toga responded with a small smile on her face. Izuku stared as her smile and looked at her eyes. Toga noticed him looking and slightly blushed, so he cleared her throat in a convincing way. "I should get going now. Just came here to check on you."
"I got a question," Izuku said.
"What's up?"
Izuku paused. "Would you answer me truthfully?"
"Of course."
"Even if it would rat your people out?"
Toga paused. "My people?"
