"Okay class today we will learn about The Gold Rush..."Mrs.Brown said

She had blond hair and brown eyes. She was tall but still wore heals.

As much as I tried to look at the bored. I couldn't see, everything was blurry. Great I have to get glasses. Then everyone will call me four eyes.

Oh well better than not being able to see. Why didn't those stupid scientists were able to give me inhaste vision. Like I said stupid.

I squinted my eyes trying to see but failed.

"Katherine Pierce someone is here to pick you up"the teacher said reading off a paper.

"Oh okay" I got up happy to leave early

"Where are we going" I asked Katerina, I mean Aunt Kate

"To get you're glasses hun your teacher said you keep squinting at the bored"she said

"Ugh..yeah I was going to tell you guys"

"Yeah sure you were"Aunt Kate said sarcastically

"I was!"I lied

"Mhm...you are a liar missy"she accused

"Ughh"

"Keep complaining but it's not going to get you anywhere"

"I look stupid" I said while looking in the car mirror

"You look good. Stop whining"she tried to hide her laugh

"You little liar..I look like a nerd"

"Hun you are a nerd have you seen your test scores"she said laughing

I scoweled at her

"Not funny aunt kate. I'm hungry"

"What do you want to eat?" She asked

"Mmm Burger King"

"Okay nerd Burger King it is"

"Stoopp"I said laughing

I looked at myself again the glasses are to big for a small face like mine.

"Don't worry Nadia won't find out we ate junk food"

"Okay so do you have any idea what you want to be when you grow up?"my aunt asked

"Mmm I dunno..maybe like a writer"I said

"That sems like a good choice"

"Or maybe own a bar & grill...ohh probably both" I said excitedly

"Okay calm down kathe-"

"You will get a discount"I said with a smile

We were at Burger King know just pretending were not in mortal danger. Or at least I am

"Mmm I'll think about it"

"What did you want to be when you were younger?" I asked

"Well I also wanted to be a writer, but my mother had different ideas."she said looking down at her meal.

I wonder why her mother didn't give her the freedom to decide her own choices. Every time my grandmother would talk about her mom she made her sound like the mom's in fantasy books. But when my aunt talks about her she sounds cold hearted.

"Like what type of idea's?"I asked

"Like becoming a house wife and marrying a guy that I didn't love" she said "I loved a different man he was sweet, yes he was,poor but his meaning about life was so...different."she said.

She looked as if she was going back in time her eyes distant and a smile on her face.

"Katherine promise me that you will not let anyone not even me or my sister change the way you see the man you love. Don't let them make up you're mind"she said eagerly

"I promise"

And I was going to keep that promise. I know its too soon to think about that but I want what I want and that's honesty and respect. Though it may be hard to find.

"Good cause men might good in be-"

"In what?"I asked

"Uhh nothing. As I was saying men might all 'Oh I love you' 'I'll never hurt you' but some of them are liars and cheaters"

"Ohhkayy?"

"I'm being serious Katherine"

"I know..I know"

"Good if any guy hurts you. Tell me and I will cut their dick off"she threatened

"Oh my god aunt Kate"

"What im trying to protect you"

"I appreciate it but no cutting....you know that"

She laughed

"Okay hun I won't cut guys private parts"

"Oh my Jesus Aunt Kate"

"What you know I'm crazy...what's the surprise"

We both laughed

So this how normal people spend their time.

No training,no cabals after them,no magic.

No fear of someone wanting you're death.
