The air inside Anjana Mathur's living room was heavy with her restlessness.
She sat stiffly on the couch, her manicured fingers gripping the armrest, her legs crossed but twitching every few seconds.
Her eyes darted to the clock, then to the door, then back again.
Her schemes, her manipulations-everything was beginning to crumble, and it was clawing at her nerves.
Suddenly, she heard the sharp, confident sound of footsteps echo through the marble floor.
Her back straightened.
The sound was unmistakable.
Calm.
Commanding.
Dangerous.
Her eyes snapped toward the entrance of the hall.
And there he was.
Atharv Rajvansh.
He stood there, like a shadow cast by arrogance and power, dressed in crisp black, his face wearing a smug, slow-spreading smile that curled at the edges like a threat in disguise.
Anjana shot up from her seat, her chest heaving with fury.
"You! What the hell are you doing here?" she screamed, her voice trembling with rage.
"After destroying everything-why have you come back?!"
Atharv didn't flinch.
He didn't blink.
He simply stepped forward, each movement calculated and slow, like a predator stalking its prey.
"Destruction?" he echoed, his voice rich and dangerous, his smirk deepening.
"You think that was destruction, Anjana Mathur?"
His eyes narrowed.
"The real destruction hasn't even begun."
A flicker of fear flashed across her face, only for a split second.
She masked it quickly, straightening her spine and raising her chin.
"What nonsense are you spouting now?" she snapped, trying to sound bold, but her voice cracked just enough to betray her.
Atharv walked toward her and held out a thick pile of papers.
She snatched them from his hand with a scoff, flipping through the first few pages.
Her eyes scanned the bold legal jargon.
Restraining orders.
Atharv's voice sliced through the room.
"It's simple. You are legally barred from contacting or meeting any member of the Rajvansh family. That includes relatives, friends, and even our associates. You no longer hold any legal or emotional relationship with us. Not the name. Not the legacy. Nothing."
