Katrina stood just behind Sansa out in the chilly air, with the rest of her family and the entirety of Winterfell. Servants, nobles and the common people were all stood awaiting the arrival of the King. Katrina took a deep breath and held her head high, pushing a dark thought which was nagging her to the back of her mind.

She closed her eyes and thought, Relax. Just remember to breathe.

The fact she were wearing a dress didn't help the situation, Katrina never wore dresses, not because she thought they were ugly, they were just impractical and cold.

Suddenly she felt a light tap on her shoulder, and turned to see Jon frowning at her.

"You alright?" He whispered, his eyes swimming with concern.

"I'm alright" She lies quickly, "Just thinking"

"Careful, that could be dangerous for you"

Kat faked an offended gasp before nudging his arm playfully, "Why are you back here Jon? Shouldn't you be up with Robb and the rest of your family?"

Jon shook his head and shrugged. "I'm a bastard, Lady Stark considered it as an offence to present a bastard to the King and Queen"

Katrina raised her eyebrows in shock, her voice now a harsh whisper. "What? That's terrible, Lord Eddard is your father". After noting that his eyes remained sorrowful, she leaned in closer so no one else would hear. "You're more of a Stark than Lady 'Stark' will ever be. She married into the name, you have the blood. No one can take that away from you"

Jon's eyes seemed to light up by her words, and a smile grew across his freshly shaven face. "Careful where you say that little lady" he winked, and they returned to their places.

Suddenly, the blare of a hundred fanfares drowned out the sounds of Winterfell, and the sight of horses came into view.

Deep breaths.

Katrina quickly spotted who she could only assume was the King. He was a fat, bearded man who seemed so used to wearing a crown it were as if it meant nothing too him. Atop his white stallion he rode next to a golden carriage, and riding by the side of the carriage was a boy a little younger than Katrina herself with short blonde hair and a smug little face, and a huge man who was clearly his bodyguard wearing a hound shaped helmet riding just behind him.

Was that smug little boy the golden prince Sansa had been dreaming of? Was that Joffrey?

Another glimpse of golden hair caught Katrina's attention, and a sickening sensation began to build up in her chest. It was Jaime Lannister, the Queens brother.

The Queen must be close.

As the King dismounted from his horse, everyone kneeled to the ground the second his large form hit the ground, even the Starks. His movements almost appeared bored as he approached, the mighty King of the seven Kingdoms, more like a pig on it's hind legs.

He twitched a gloved hand, commanding everyone to rise once again, but Kat found herself keeping her eyes to the ground. She dared not look up, if even for a second.

"You got fat" The King stated bluntly, locking eyes with Lord Eddard.

Only awkward silence followed, until Lord Eddard simply looked the King up and down and gave a nod that said "Says you"
