Q1. How did you discover Wattpad?

Answer: Even though I don't advertise my writing I do have many writer friends on Facebook. I had been posting what I write on another story site since June of 2009. One of my writer friends on Facebook, who is not on Wattpad by the way, mentioned Wattpad in December 2012 so I came over and had a look. I joined Wattpad during that month but didn't start posting here until June of 2013.

Q2. What is the hardest part of writing for you?

Answer: The hardest part of writing for me. Writing, it has only ever been a hobby, a pass time and I never expect anything out of it or from it. The hardest thing for me is something that ties in with the answer to the next question and that something is that I cannot shut it off. I have so many thoughts and ideas that I will never get to write about them all. These thoughts and ideas often evolve by themselves. I might write part of a story and when I come back to write, the next part it is ready to come out without having spent any real time thinking of how the story could continue.

Q3. Where do you get your inspiration?

Answer: Inspiration is everywhere and this is why I do not understand writers block. I have never sat in front of an empty screen or in front of a blank page and had nothing to write. I have so many thoughts and ideas to write about that I no longer keep notepads to jot anything new down, well apart from when I am writing longer stories and I need to keep track of what has happened. I have written many short stories which came out of the dreams I have had. Once I was heading out with a sibling, she lives in the next county over from me. We were going to the cinema and decided to head a little further out her way rather than come back into Dublin. We chose a film and had seventy minutes or so until the next showing so we went for a coffee in a nearby hotel. I could only imagine that this hotel was a constructed from some kind of old castle. It intrigued me. I had never been there before or since. By the time I did get back home I had a new complete short story based on this hotel. I love to people watch, does any writer not do that? I also have many voices in my head begging to get out. Some of my best friends are in my head.

Q4. Why do you write?

Answer: Why do I write? Whether I am any good at it or not, I guess writing is my blood. I actually have been wanting to stop writing and I have been wanting to stop for quite some time now. As I mentioned before, there is no off switch. Now don't get me wrong, when I am in a writing zone I absolutely love it. I love when words just come out and that happens quite a bit for me but as I said, I'd like to turn it off every once in a while.

Q5. What's your favorite quote?

Answer: My favourite quote is actually from the James Bond movie Goldfinger. Bond is strapped to a table and a laser is in operation. Bond asks 'Do you expect me to talk?' Goldfinger replies 'no Mister Bond, I expect you to die.' Instead of maybe continuing with another question and answer, I would like to do somewhat of a shout out even though it is very unlikely the recipients of the shout out will ever know of it. When I was twelve years of age I wrote a short story for English class in school. Miss Kilbride, my English teacher, read out my story in class, and so too did my class tutor the next day. I suppose Miss Kilbride and Mister Donnelly ignited my passion for writing. I had made many friends and acquaintances due to writing so thank you to those who have and do matter to me. It has been fun.
