Q1. What genre are your books?
Answer: My books are mostly NA Romance but with my current WIP I attempted YA Paranormal Romance. This is my first time attempting this genre and it's quite nerve wracking but I feel free to chase the ideas down the rabbit holes and it stretched me as a writer.
Q2. Why do you write?
Answer: I have always been interested in writing. I've always been writing in my head and murmuring lines while doing just about anything. The characters become real in my head and I start to feel actual emotions from imagining them. I love to get those stories and characters out of my mind, and onto papers. I mentioned this on list of 20 things about me(Tag You're it), I started out a family at a very young age. I can't imagine life without my kids but sometimes I wondered what life would be like if I made different decisions. Maybe, that's one of the reasons why I write, to be the characters that I'm not.
Q3. Where do you get your inspiration?
Answer: There's so many things that inspire me. Works of my fav authors inspire me. Music really inspires me. I often combined lyrics with a story. I live in the city, I do not have that much scenic view to inspire me but I get a lot of my ideas when I'm running cause it clears my head which is usually when the random ideas pop in. Sometimes an idea just comes randomly! It's hard to explain.
Q4. What writing advice do you have for other aspiring authors?
Answer: Just write it! You'll never know how long it'll take you to write a story unless you begin writing. Go ahead, make that first step. Do not be afraid to share your work to the world. Criticism may break you but it will always sharpen your skill. Your work may not see the light of the day in the actually published book but at least you enjoy the journey regardless. You met amazing people along the way and you became the better version of yourself, at least your writing persona.
Q5. What is your favorite quote?
Answer: "The road to success is always under construction." It's a time worn phrase that may sound silly but it really makes sense. It's okay to screw up every time. It's okay to fail at some point. It is about having patience and resilience when obstacles slow down your pace. Re-assess yourself, rethink your options if things don't seem to be working out for you. Life is a never ending pursuit of satisfaction. it's a continual chase to achieve what you really want to achieve.
