Cold Open – Early Morning at Chandler’s Apartment

Ronnie stands in the kitchen in her pajamas. Sunlight is pouring in through the window — she flinches at it at first. Then, she slowly moves closer and puts her hand in the light.

Ronnie (V.O.):
People talk about healing like it’s a thunderbolt. But maybe it’s more like standing in the sun after being underground for too long.

She closes her eyes. Just breathes.

Cue soft acoustic version of the Friends theme — same notes, different tone.

---

– Central Perk

Ronnie meets Monica, Phoebe, and Rachel for a low-pressure morning coffee. She’s dressed differently — less black, still layered, but softer colors.

(smiling)
"Look who’s out in the wild." Rachel said

(teasing)
"I promised Chandler I’d breathe fresh air and look at humans." Ronnie told them

"You passed the test! But don’t talk to the pigeons. They gossip." Phoebe said to her

Everyone laughs. Ronnie smiles — not a forced one, a real one.

"You look lighter. Like something inside unclenched." Monica told her

"Maybe it did." She said

---

– Park Walk with Chandler

Chandler and Ronnie walk through a nearby park. Chandler’s eating a soft pretzel. Ronnie’s got a journal tucked under her arm.

"You’re doing better. You know that, right?" He told her

"Some days I believe that. Some days I pretend to." She said to him

"Pretending counts. That’s how I got through all of college." He told her

"You ever feel like you’re not sure who you are anymore?" She asked him

"Every Tuesday."

She chuckles.

"Thanks for not treating me like I’m breakable."

"You’re not breakable. You’re rebuilding." He told her

---

– Music Store with Jake

Jake meets Ronnie at a tiny used record shop. They flip through albums in silence, comfortable.

"You know, I’ve been writing. Mostly weird songs about space and feelings I don’t want to name." He said to her

"I’ve been sketching trees. Don’t know why. They just feel... stable." She told him

"You’re kinda like one now. Not where you want to be yet, but... still growing." He told her

"If you keep saying cheesy stuff like that, I’m never hanging out with you again." She said

She smiles though. He does too.

---

– Chandler’s Apartment That Evening

Ronnie is alone, sitting at the window, sketching. Then she stops. Looks at the drawing. It’s a simple park bench. Someone’s sitting on it. It’s her.

Ronnie (V.O.):
I’m still afraid sometimes. Still get quiet. But I laughed today. I felt the sun. And I didn’t hate the silence in my head. That’s healing too.

She flips to a fresh page. Writes: “Maybe I’m becoming.”

---

– The Group Together

Everyone is on Monica’s couch. Ronnie is there too, curled up next to Chandler, watching a cheesy movie.

"Wait, is this the one where the dog talks and becomes a lawyer?" Joey asked them

"It’s called “Pup & Order,” and it is deeply moving." Phoebe told him

"You people are so weird." Ronnie said

"Yup. But you keep coming back." Her brother told her

She smiles and rests her head on Chandler’s shoulder. For once, she looks completely at peace.

---

A big change doesn’t always feel big — but it can symbolize everything. Ronnie chooses to cut her hair, not to erase the past, but to mark the beginning of the version of herself she’s starting to accept.

---

– Chandler’s Apartment, Morning

Ronnie stands in front of the mirror, holding her long hair in her hands. She pulls it back. Let it fall. Looks like it belongs to someone else.

Ronnie (V.O.):
I always thought I had to keep carrying the girl who broke. But maybe I can let parts of her go. And keep the ones that survived.

She ties it up loosely, stares a little longer. Cuts to black.

Cue soft acoustic Friends theme.

---

– Central Perk

Ronnie enters wearing a beanie. Phoebe spots her first.

"Are you hiding a small forest creature under there?" Phoebe asked her

(nervous smile)
"Nope. Just trauma, identity issues, and a new haircut."she said

She pulls off the beanie. Her hair is short — shoulder length, soft waves. Neat, brave.

(in awe)
"Oh my God. You look beautiful."Rachel said to her

"'You look you."Monica said

"That’s kind of the point." Ronnie said

---

– Walk & Talk with Chandler

They walk through the city. Ronnie’s hoodie is down. Her hair is out. The wind brushes it.

"You look... different. But not like “new Ronnie.” Like... “braver Ronnie.”he told her

"I think I just wanted something on the outside to match the inside. I feel clearer. Not perfect. Just clearer." She told him

(smiling)
"I get that. I once grew a mustache to mark emotional growth." He said

"Was the emotional growth learning how to shave?" She said to him

---

– Therapy Session

Ronnie sits with Linda. Her new haircut is clearly noticed.

"Want to talk about it?" Linda asked her

"It’s just hair. But also... it’s not." Ronnie said to her

She touches it.

"It feels like I made room. Like maybe I don’t have to carry everything anymore.'

(softly)
"That’s a big moment." She said

---

– Ronnie’s Journal at Night

She sketches herself. Not perfect. But honest. She writes beside it:
“I thought becoming meant changing. Maybe it just means claiming who I’ve been all along.”

Then she closes the journal and looks out the window, peaceful.

---

– Group Movie Night

They're all watching a movie. Joey is crying. Chandler is confused. Ronnie is curled up in a blanket, calm.

"He just wanted the horse to love him back!" Joey sobbing

"That’s... not the message, Joey." Rachel told him

(softly, smiling)
"I think it kind of is." Ronnie said

Chandler looks at her, quietly proud.
