9. The City

I quickly ate a can of power pup and got dressed. My headache seemed to fade as I was so excited. I get to go into the city with Party!

While I was running around getting ready I could have sworn I heard Ghoul yelling at Party for even suggesting me going into the city with him.

I finished getting ready and was about to leave Adrenaline's room when she quickly slipped in the room.

"Hey can we talk really quick?" She said quietly.

"Yeah sure." I said.

"I'm so sorry for telling them but I need you to get better. I need you." She got closer to me.

"I understand, and honestly. Thank you. I wouldn't have got help, I'm too stubborn I guess." I said hugging her.

I gave her a peck on the cheek and asked "what do you want for your birthday?"

She pondered the thought for a minute before grinning and said "You."

She pressed her lips against mine and I returned the kiss. We were there with our lips stuck against each others before Party opened the door. He opened his mouth slightly and then just shut the door.

"I love you but I got to go." I said sadly.

"I love you too! Have fun!" She smiled as I walked out the door.

I walked towards Party who was standing in the kitchen covering his eyes.

"it burns!!! They were making out! I'm scared for life!"

I had to stifle a giggle and said " let's go!"

He uncovered his eyes and started walking towards the door and I followed. We headed to the trans am and Party sat in the drivers seat. I took a seat in the passenger seat.

"Ready?"

"Ready!"

We drove for a little bit. All it was, was literally sand. Sand, sand and more sand.

"So where is the load of food we are supposed to be picking up." I said looking at Party who had his yellow mask on that covered most of his face. I just normally wore sunglasses. He continued to look forward and said
"I lied. There is no food pickup."

Wait he lied?

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"I just said here was a load of food so Ghoul would let you go. Truth is Adrenaline's birthday is in a few days and I thought you'd want to pick up a nice gift from the city." Party said.

Wait I get to pick out a gift for adrenaline? This is awesome!

"Really?! That's awesome!"

"You're welcome. Anyways I got to pick something up for Neon and I."

"Thanks...is it a condom?" I asked jokingly.

"No! It's...never mind." His face turned the shade of his hair.

I started to laugh and he just shook his head.

We continued to drive for a little while longer and then we arrived at this hideout.

"We get gas and then we only have a couple miles til we reach the city."

"Cool." I said as he got out of the car. I was wearing a muscle shirt with a sports bra under it so I wasn't too hot luckily. I still wore a bandage on my arm from where I was stabbed but it was pretty much healed. It started to scan over so we are in good shape. It didn't hurt anymore, thank god.
