My sapphire

Chapter Seven

~Sapphires POV~

I looked at Ruby's hand that had the IV needle in it and caressed her hand with my thumb.

Signing I got up to go find Ruby's nurse her Machine been going off for a couple of seconds.

I feel bad when I seen her on they latter I should have asked or helped or did something to prevent what has happened to ruby.

I turned the corner am saw Ruby's nurse marissa she was talking with another nurse I walked up to them an waited silently.

The one nurse tapped on her shoulder and pointed to me she turned around and smiled,"Hey hun what do you need?"

I cleared my throat and licked my lips
"Uh my cousins machine is going off"

"Oh honey, I got that just let me fill out this sheet real quick." She lifted her hand an showed me the paper, "I'll be with you in a sec."

I rocked on my feet and put my hands behind my back in a shy manner while nodding at the nurse, she walked away from me leaving the awkwardness.

As soon as I got to the room the first thing I notice was a missing 'ruby' my heart dropped and it became hard to breath, "Ruby"

Shuffling came from the bathroom I let out a breathe and put my shakey hands together and sat in the chair, "Ruby are you alright?" Should I go see what she's doing or should I give her some privacy? What the hell who cares about privacy.

I got up and walked to the bathroom, opening the door I found ruby halfway out the bathroom window, "What the hell are you doing ruby!!!"

She stopped what she was doing and looked back at me I guess she didn't know what to think because her eyes showed way to much emotion,"What are you doing here sapphire?"

"I'm the one who brought you here now if you would please get down and get back into bed"

"how?" I crossed my arms and looked at her with a raised eyebrow, "I'll tell you every thing just get back in here and back into that hospital bed"

I watched as she struggled to get back into the bathroom she stepped on the toilet an sat down than looked at me

"Uh .." she scratched the back of her neck an looked away nervously, "Here give me your hand" I put my hand out for her to take.

She took my hand and got up. I led her back to the hospital bed

I put my hand under my chin and held my elbow with my other arm, "Well I found you in my cousins girlfriends room unconscious and you were mumbling stuff and you said your-" I sat on the chair next to her bed and looked at her.

"My what?" Ruby gave me a confused look

"You said your father did this to you." I swallowed the lump in my throat and avoided Ruby's gaze

"Yeah my father did this so what .. what are you gonna do about it, its not like you can protect me or anything." I looked at her and held my anger in I breathed in a fresh breathe of air.

"What no thank you" I said quietly I looked up at her to see her fist clenched, "Your not gonna tell my sperm donner that I'm here are you?"

"No." I rubbed my face trying to get the tired feeling off me, "Thanks sapphire." I smiled at her

"Oh and before I forget while you where out the nurse said you need to be at bed rest for a week.

I think she said a week or maybe it was 3 days oh well.

"How the hell am I supposed to be in bed for a week when,  I can't go home and if I do I'll just end up back here!"  I sat up straight and looked at ruby, "You can stay at my house?"
