My sapphire

Chapter Twenty-One

Sapphire's POV.

After work I went back to my apartment and got dressed into something else and went to the hospital to visit sapphire.

I asked pearl to drop me off and if she could to tell amethyst not to wait up for me tonight.

I walked through the long halls and tried to be as quite as possible. I didn't really know what. to do here because its not like I could go into her room since I'm not family but I still tired everyday to see her.

I was only let in the room once since they thought that I was family but they found out that I wasn't I guess sapphires mom went through the guest list to find out who was already here and she said that I wasn't and now I can't go nowhere near the room.

I still tired to she her as much as I could but it was hard since I wasn't aloud to even go near her door.

I even tried talking to her mother but sapphires father wouldn't allow it he said that his wife was into much distress and that she just needs alone time with her daughter For the mean while. which I call bull because even when there daughter was fine they didn't bother even getting a hold of her or checking on her they clam to have been "busy" but that is all A bunch trap. you can never be too busy for your own child.

And now that sapphire can't even fend for herself, they wanna come around ?

I thought it was sorta weird how now they decide to. come around and actually act. like parents, I am just over protective though it's probably just me being crazy again.

Besides it's sapphires parents they I guess know what's best for her I shouldn't get between that, plus it's there business.

I kept walking and soon seen the door with Sapphire's name on it. I smiled and hurried as fast as my legs could take me to get to the door. I seen sapphires mother leave so I knew she wasn't in there, but I had no idea if her father was here but I didn't care I haven't seen her in what felt like forever.

I took a chance anyway and walked in the room, and there was sapphire looking calm as ever with her white sleeping gown.

She reminded me of sleeping beauty, how she was laid out on the bed with her hands put together on her stomach, her feet were even close together. I walked over to her and sat in the chair next to the hospital bed.

"Hey sapphire, long time no see," I laughed a little trying not to cry. "You seem peaceful, how are you? What's up?" I paused, for a moment trying to get myself together, "When are you gonna come back to me .."

My tears spilled down my cheeks as I thought about that day when she got in the car accident and it hurt.

"This is hard sapphire trying to stay together while your still here in this state, it hurts like hell to." I grabbed her hand and pulled it to my lips and placed a kiss on it.

I shouldn't be here at all and I know that I shouldn't be here but I need to be here for sapphire.

"Don't give up, please." I got up from the seat.  and placed a kiss on Sapphire's forehead and left the room.

Just as I left I seen Sapphire's father walking towards the room with a hugh wad of roses in his arms. I went down the exit stairs and made it to the main floor, "I wish I could've stayed." I wiped my eyes and kept walking to the doors.

"Ruby, where you going ?" I heard Tia yell from behind me. I turned and seen her rushing over to me with food in one and an her bag in another. I smiled, "I was just heading out." I pointed towards the glass double doors. Tia made a sad face and rubbed my shoulder, "They would let you in again, would they ?"

I huffed, "They never do but I went in today anyways, sapphires dad is up their right now." I stood there look awkward as ever, Tia opened her mouth to say something but quickly put her finger up telling me to wait, "I'll be right back, okay ?" Sapphires aunt ran to the front desk and put the box of food on the counter, than walked back over to me, "I'll give you a ride back home."

I smiled and started walking out to the parking lot, "Why are sapphires parents so," Tia's Laugh stopped me from talking, "So uptight ? sapphires father has always been like that however my sister hasn't she changed after she had sapphire and who knows why, but anyways where do you live now ?"

"South main street." Tia unlocked the car and got in, "That's not to far from my sister's." I nodded, taking in a breath I sat back in the seat.

"When did you move ?" Tia kept her eyes on the road calmly waiting for my answer.

"Almost three months ago ." I Leaned on the tinted window just staring off into space , "Oh well how are you doing with your own place ?" Sapphires aunt looked at me in the mirror.

I took in a breath of fresh crisp air, "I'm good, it's creepy and somewhat lonely." I didn't really want to tell her I was to scared to live alone so I had a roommate.

But It was gonna be known later on so I honestly wouldn't Know what I'm lying For now. I just don't make any sense nowadays, " I was hoping you'd tell me a little more about what happened that day when sapphire left your house." I didn't want to talk about it at all but considering it was sapphires aunt I felt like I didn't have a choice in the matter.

I shifted in my seat uncomfortably, "Nothing really she freaked and left that's it." Tia's eyebrows frowned and I new than that I was in deep shit with her, " But you know well enough that I wouldn't buy that so why lie to me ?"

"Honestly I don't know why she left I thought she wanted me to try and kiss her," I looked smugly out the window. I was officially very irritated with this girl I didn't want her to know are business.

"Ah I see," Tia shifted in her seat, " It was a private matter." I rolled my eyes, of course it was your just to damn nosy .

She pulled up in front of my apartment, "Look ruby I don't mean to be nosy or anything about  your and my nieces business but you have to understand that I'm crazy worried about the both of you things have been happening lately and its getting a little to cold I'm just trying to understand a lot and at the same time keep the ones that matter to me safe."  Her  words  made  a  cold shiver  rush  down  my  spin,  her  word's  kinda sounded  a  little  like  she  was  hinting  to  something  and  it  sounded  dark.

My face scrunched up in confused manner, "What do you mean by that ?" I got up and out of the car quicker than she could answer me, "Never mind, Goodnight." I back up from the car and rushed into my small little space I called home.

I felt that there was eyes on me all night. Things just keep getting more weird for me.
