My sapphire

Chapter Eight

~Sapphires POV~

I sat on my couch watching some show ghost whisperer its Sunday which means babysitting for me I babysit for my neighbors Greg and Rose but I only babysit for them on Sundays Mondays and Thursdays and sometimes Tuesday mornings.

I don't know if ruby can handle a baby but oh well.

I looked at my clock and got up its almost time for me to go get baby steven I ran up to my room and grabbed a sweater and a pair of my flats I put everything on an rushed next door.

I knocked on Greg and Rose's door, Rose answered with steven in her arms.

"Ah hello sapphire"

"Hello Rose"

I said quietly she moved to the side so I could come in I walked in and helped rose get steven dipper bag ready.

"Sapphire"

"Yes rose" I made my way to the front door with the dipper bag

"Do you mind keeping steven over night me and Greg have to go out of town"

"No I don't mind" rose smiled

"Thank you and if you need anything like anything just call me okay oh and be for I forget Stevens car seat is in my car I'll gave Greg get it for you okay hun"

"Okay oh and your welcome"

I walked back to my house with everything I needed for steven i made my way to the hall way closet and put everything in it.

I took a quick peek into my living room and found ruby still asleep I walked back next door to get steven form rose when I got there Greg had Stevens car seat ready I told him to put it in my car.

"Sapphire I really appreciate you babysitting every time we work or have something to do"

"Well your very welcome"

I took steven in my arms an bid rose a goodbye I made my way home with steven when I went in the living room I didn't see ruby so I just turned on the TV and put a sleeping steven in his rocker.

"Ruby?"

I heard a 'yes' come frome the kitchen I walked to the kitchen and stood in the door way she was eating a bowl of ceral I laughed cause all I had was rice crispy treats (A/N rice crispy treats are really gross and so aren't spiders)

"I have to go grocery shopping"

"Yeah I know" ruby laughed

"I'm actually going for groceries in a couple of minutes or so you wanna go with me or??"

She smiled and nodded her head 'yes' I told her I was just gonna get steven ready I rushed to the living room and got steven ready for our trip to the grocery store.

(Several minutes later)

"Everyone buckled up"

A 'yes' came from ruby and bubbly laugh came from steven I smiled and put the car in drive I heard steven giggling a and ruby laughing I pulled into tops parking lot and parked my car.

I turned my head towards ruby and steven "you guys ready" I smiled at them both ruby nodded her head and got steven out of his car seat than got out of the car with him.

(magical time skip back to sapphires house)

"Hey sapphire what do you wanna watch?"

"Uh do you like the movie hunger games?"

"Haven't seen it so I guess yeah"

I shouted I've got the popcorn an ran to the kitchen an threw a bag into the microwave I waited for a couple of seconds then the timer went off I got the popcorn and walked back tot the living room where ruby is I looked over at her and found steven sleeping in her arms.

Awe that so cute!

I sat next to ruby "so uh ruby I was thinking we don't know much about each other maybe we could you know uh-"

"Get to know each other"

I rubbed the back of my neck and nodded my head yes I saw her smile

"Yeah we can get to know each other it would be good for the both of us"

I moved my legs onto the couch the couch and looked towards ruby and smiled.

Getting to know each other would be really great maybe well become the best of friends.
