(Just some eye candy) ;) ^^^

The next morning, I woke up stiff from the lumpy mattress. I could tell it was morning by the pale light coming through the window. I peered out of it, and saw an endless expanse of greenish blue waves. White clouds dotted the blue sky. The ship was rocking back and forth, making the hanging lamp swing from its hinge.

"Sleep well?" A rough, raspy voice demanded from the shadows. I jumped at the sound and whipped around. Captain Reedus stepped into the light, his arms crossed. Unlike last night, he looked slightly more relaxed. I also noticed other features of his face, such as the mole above his lip. His blue eyes were narrowed at me, as though he expected me to jump out and attack him any minute now. I also noticed that he had a gold chain around his neck, with a gold skull sitting at the base of his chest.

"Yes. I slept fine." I answered, brushing off my dress.

"Ya know we can't take ya back home, right?" He stated randomly. I nodded.

"I sort of figured." I mumbled.

"Would you like to take a walk and get breakfast?" He offered. I glanced up at him. Why was he being so nice? Was it because I was royalty? I was a princess, so that meant he had to treat me nicely?

"You don't have to treat me like a princess." I declared, straightening up. He squared his shoulders.

"Why not? Yer a princess, aren't ya?" Captain Reedus challenged.

"I am. But I don't want to be treated like a princess." I stated, walking up to the iron bars.

"Ya do realize that if ya weren't a princess, all the crew would be ruttin' on ya." He said, narrowing his eyes at me. "It's yer royal status that has preserved yer innocence."

I swallowed. "But I don't want special privileges."

Captain Reedus shrugged. "All right. Ya don't need to go for a walk. That's only for special prisoners." He countered childishly.

I scowled at him. "Fine." I snapped, sitting on the bed.

He turned around, and made his way out of the cell area. Growling under my breath, I pulled out my book. It as still in good condition. I began chapter one.

'Twas a dark and quiet night. Not a single sound came from the small trading village. However, one thing stood out. In the harbor, a massive ship rocked back and forth gently with the tides. The sails were as black as the night. Nothing could disturb the peace.

Suddenly, flashes of bright orange light erupted from the town, bathing the inky black ocean in orange. More bombs were set off, and a shape was hardly noticeable on the enormous clock tower. He was dressed in all white, with a hood covering his face. He gripped onto a rope, and leapt from the building. He swung his way down to the ship while the cries and screaming of women and children.

He landed with a thud on the deck of the ship. A man with a long black beard staggered up to the man in white. His peg leg thumped against the wooden deck.

"The job done, Felix?" He demanded in a gruff voice. His voice was gruff due to years of smoking and whiskey drinking.

"Yes sir. The king is dead." Felix muttered, pulling a pipe out of his coat and lighting it. One thing he'd nerve, ever tell the captain, is that he fell. He fell for a beautiful woman.

"What are ya doin'?" Captain Reedus demanded, making me look up from my book. He was holding a tray of pickles and fish.

"Reading. I thought you'd know." I retorted, putting the book down.

Captain Reedus just grunted. "Brought ya food." He muttered, unlocking the cell. I continued to sit while he stepped inside, shutting the door behind him. He handed me the tray, and I took it. My nose immediately wrinkled in disgust when I saw the pickled cucumbers and small anchovies. I guess I should have realized that the food was going to be disgusting.

I glanced up at the captain. He had his arms crossed, watching as I took the first bite of the pickle. The bitter, tart taste flooded my mouth, making my lips pucker. Captain Reedus chuckled.

"Ya want somethin' else, Princess Isabelle?" He asked, arching an eyebrow at me. I nodded, not caring that he called me that. He took the tray from my hands, and turned around, leaving me alone.

I glanced down at my dress. It was still fairly pretty, but it I didn't want to ruin it further with the salt water. Undoing the strings on my back, I let the beautiful dress fall to the floor. Quickly picking it up, I hung it up on a couple hooks. Now I was only in my underdress.

I sighed. Bored, I started pacing. But multiple times, I stumbled over my dress. I growled in frustration. I wanted to get rid of this dress. Tearing at the seams, I tore the dress. It now went to my knee caps, exposing my legs to greedy eyes.

A nervous couch sounded. I glanced up at Captain Reedus. He was now holding a tray of bread and cheese. His blue eyes on my legs.

"What? I don't like dresses that I trip over." I declared.

"If ya'd like, I'll get ya some pants." He mumbled, never taking his eyes off of my long pale legs. I suddenly grew conscious of them, and regretted tearing my dress.

"Yes. I'd like some other clothes." I mumbled, my face heating up. Captain Reedus nodded, and turned around. I sat down and covered my legs, pulling my skirt down as far as the remains of the dress would go. Which wasn't very far.

A few minutes later, Captain Reedus entered the cell again, holding a bundle of clothes. Avoiding looking at me, he set them on a table in the corner of the cell with my food. He then turned his back to me.

"I'll show you the ship after yer dressed." He declared, holding his hands behind him.

"Ok."

I took the clothes, and opened up the shirt. It was a white button up shirt with poofy sleeves. I reached behind me, but I couldn't reach the highest string. Damn! I glanced at Captain Reedus, who still had his back to me.

"Er, Captain, would you mind being of assistance?" I asked. He glanced over his shoulder at me. I turned around, and pointed to my back. "I can't reach the highest string. Would you mind undoing them?"

The door opened, and I heard thudding footsteps behind me. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up when I felt his rough hands graze my bare skin. His heavy breaths hit my shoulder as he undid the string. He continued down my back in silence, until the last string was undone.

"There." He grunted, stepping away.

"Thank you." I mumbled. He grunted, and I glanced behind me. He had his back to me again, his hands clasped behind him. I took my dress off, facing him just in case he were to turn around. "By the way, I never caught your name."

"Captain Reedus." He muttered.

"I meant your first name." I retorted, pulling the shirt on.

"You don't need that information." He stated.

"Well that isn't polite." I muttered. "You know my name, why can't I know yours?"

He let out a low, irritated growl. "Fine. If you must know, my name is Norman." He grumbled. "Happy?"

"I am, actually." I said, buttoning the shirt. Then I grabbed the pants. They were a dull brown. Pulling those on, I realized they fit very well.

"You're to call me Captain Reedus. Understand?" He barked. I pulled the brown leather boots on.

"Yessir." I didn't realize this would be like England.

After I was dressed, Norman let me out of the cell. I snatched a piece of bread from the tray before following him out.
