It's been a month of traveling and now it's Christmas Eve. We're staying the night at my parents house and Gemma will be there.

I got up from the couch and grabbed a water bottle from the fridge, hearing footsteps coming downstairs. Danielle appeared into the kitchen and gave me a smile, coming up to me and giving me a kiss.

I set the bottle of water down on the counter behind me and hugged her and held her close.

"Autumn is still sleeping," she whispered as we both looked at the microwave for the time.

9:32 a.m.

"Should I wake her? We need to leave soon," I spoke as she shook her head.

"I wouldn't, love. She'll wake up and then we'll go see your family," Dani spoke as she kissed my jaw and then went back upstairs to pack some clothes for the both of us for two nights.

I got worried when it became 10 in the morning and Autumn wasn't awake. I made my way to her room and opened the door. I walked over to her bed and sat down, gently shaking her.

She rolled over and I mentally sighed in relief. She opened her eyes and shut them back, "Daddy, hold me."

"Gladly," I smiled as I picked up the sick three year old. I held her to my chest as Danielle came in to grab a few things from Autumn's closet for my parents house.

"Let daddy give you a shower and mommy will make you cereal, okay?" Danielle spoke to Autumn as she nodded.

I kissed my girlfriends cheek and went into our bathroom, starting the shower for Autumn. I sat her down on the floor and she took of her clothes while I grabbed her a towel.

She was in the shower by the time I made it back to the bathroom, so I set the towel down on the counter and left her to it. I heard the shower stop soon after I had left and Autumn walked into my bathroom with a towel swallowing her body.

She had blood running from her nose, so I grabbed tissues from my bedside and held them to her nose, making silly faces at her to make her smile.

She smiled as I took the tissue from her face and kissed her head. I took her to her room and changed her into some comfortable pants and a t-shirt with a hoodie.

I put on my jacket while Danielle put Autumn in the car. I grabbed the keys and locked the house door behind me, making my way to the garage so we can go to my parents house.

//

"Autumn!" My sister cheered as we walked in.

"Aunt Gem!" Autumn spoke back as Gemma picked her up and held her.

"Where's mom?" I asked her.

"Kitchen with Robin," Gemma spoke as she side hugged both Danielle and I.

//

"Merry Christmas Autumn," I whispered kissing her cheek.

She was still dead asleep, which was perfectly okay. It was only 8 in the morning.

I walked downstairs to the kitchen and my mom sat at the table, drinking tea. I grabbed myself a cup and sat down with her.

"Harry," she spoke gently, "how long?"

I stiffened and sighed, "2 months and 3 weeks."

I heard her quietly sigh and I leaned back into my chair. "Leaving her up there sleeping worries me."

"I know it does," she said, "it's just the thing about being a parent."

"I won't be a parent for that much longer," I mumbled as I messed with my necklace.

"You will always be a parent, Harry. Autumn will forever be your daughter. Don't you forget that," she said as she got up and came to hug me.

I saw Danielle and Autumn come downstairs as we settled back into our seats.

"She said she wanted you while I showered," Dani spoke as she handed me Autumn and kissed my head as she left.

//

"Say bye to grandma," I whispered to Autumn as I set her down.

She walked to my mom and hugged her legs, going around to the rest of my family as I put our suitcase in the trunk.

I said goodbye to my parents and sister after Danielle did. I got Autumn in her car seat and when we got settled, I drove off towards home.

//

"Joy!" I called as we walked in.

She jumped from the couch and began jumping on Danielle's legs, wanting to be petted. I fed her and Autumn went and sat on the couch with Joy.

"Have you talked to the boys?" Dani asked as she hugged me from behind me, rubbing my chest so I wouldn't be so stressed.

"No," I answered as I grabbed my medication for my heart from the cabinet. I forgot it for my parents house.

"Harry, I feel like someth-"

Danielle was interrupted by Joy barking. We walked to the living room to tell her to stop, but when I saw what she was barking at I was glad.
