four years later
"Dani? Where's Dawson's shoes?" I called through the house.
"By the door Harry!" She called from the nursery.
I carried the three year old with me and grabbed the shoes, sitting the both of us on the floor, my back towards the front door. I slipped one shoe on a began tying it when he spoke, "Liam!"
"Yeah, that's you're name," I smiled at him as he said it again. "You're name is Dawson Liam Styles."
"Liam!" He called again. I finally just turned and saw what he was pointing at. Literally, Liam was standing at the door.
"Hey bud!" He cheered and Dawson laughed and tried running away.
"Wait just a second Daw, I'm almost done," I spoke as I tied the second shoe.
"Alright, go find mommy. She'll take you and you're sisters to the park," I spoke as he got up and ran away.
I got up and turned to Liam, which now was not by himself. Louis and Niall were behind him.
"How are you?" Louis asked.
"Miserable, to be honest. I always hate this day," I said honestly as I grabbed my car keys.
I ran upstairs and went into the nursery, where my family was.
I walked over to the left side of the lavender room, looking at the words Sydney Jayne painted on the wall. I kissed Sydney's head and walked to the other side, where Sawyer Joy was painted.
I kissed Sawyers head and picked up Dawson, letting the one year old twins sleep. I walked into his room and sat him down to play with his dinosaurs and went into my bedroom.
"Danielle?" I called as she appeared from the closet, fixing her jacket.
She walked up to me and kissed my head, "You're gonna be okay. We'll be here by the time you get back, okay?"
I nodded and pressed my forehead against hers, giving her a kiss before I left.
We all drove in separate cars and parked them along the road once we reached the destination. I carried the flowers I had bought from the stand in my hand and held them with a grip.
I stood in front of the tombstone and sighed sadly.
Autumn Caroline Styles
January 1, 2013 - December 30, 2015
Daughter, granddaughter, and niece
Liam patted my shoulder as I realized I was shedding a few tears. I sat down, the boys standing behind me. I set the flowers in front of the stone and sighed, slightly shivering.
"Well, Autumn. It's daddy. Yeah, I know I was here just three days ago. That marked 5 years since you're death. But today, is your 7th birthday baby girl. I'm not taking this well at all," I spoke as I wiped my tears away.
"You didn't deserve to leave this world, Autumn. You weren't ready to go. But, you're being taken care of. You can't get sick anymore and you can't have anymore bad dreams."
"My son, Dawson asks about you when he sees your pictures in my wallet or office or bedroom. You probably knew his name, but I told you anyway. I always tell him, "She was born before you, Daw. But she's an angel and angels don't live here." He thinks that you live in a different part of the world, so I'm going to let him believe that."
"We moved about five months ago. It was hard, leaving the house I had you in. It was time to leave, time to move on. Every time I walked by it or glanced inside it put me in a sad mood. I can't be sad all the time with my kids. I don't want to be sad all the time."
I paused and stared at my feet, trying to keep the tears in. I'm such a crybaby.
"No you aren't," Louis sighed as he got on the grass in front of me.
"Harry, you lost a child. Someone that you loved and didn't even get to see grow and love her life. It's okay to fucking cry," he said to me. Liam and Niall sat next to me and agreed with him.
"I just want her back, you know?" I cried, "She wasn't ready. I wasn't ready. She was too young."
"She was a year older than Dawson. I'm so scared I'll lose him too. What if I lose him too?" I panicked. "I can't lose another child, Louis. It's too hard. I can't put another child of mine in the ground. I can't do it."
"Harry, Dawson isn't dying. He's okay," he told me as Niall rubbed my back, "He's not going anywhere."
"I can't call my own daughters my little girls. Autumn was my little girl. She was mine. I can't call them that, and it sucks. I want to, but it feels wrong," I mumbled as I wiped my tears away.
"You don't have to, mate. It's okay, they probably won't care. Sydney and Sawyer are too young to care anyway," Liam spoke as he looked up at me.
"Sometimes I wonder what it would be like if Autumn was alive and if she had beaten the cancer," I spoke as I looked up to them, "do you guys? I know she was apart of your lives, but I don't know if you think much about her."
"Harry," Niall spoke, "I think about her all the time. Of course, we wonder what it would be like, or I do at least."
"I'm just scared. I don't want one of my kids to get ill and slip from my fingers again. I can't handle it. My heart literally can't handle it," I said, rubbing my physically aching chest.
"Let's get you home. You need medicine before you get worse," Louis spoke as he got up, helping me up in the process.
I said my final goodbyes and went home, where the boys forced my medicine down my throat and made me rest until my family got home.

I felt a few bodies surround me when I finally woke up. I opened my eyes, seeing my two daughters laying on my chest, Dawson cuddling my arm as Danielle slept cuddled into my back.
I gently got up, taking the twins to their beds, kissing their heads and whispering an 'I love you' as I laid them down. I returned to the bedroom, picking up Dawson and laying him down in his bed before returning to Danielle.
I laid down and wrapped my arms around Danielle, pulling her closer to me. She shifted and opened her eyes.
"You scared me today," she mumbled, "when Louis called me and said your chest started hurting like old times I got worried."
"He shouldn't have called you," I spoke tiredly as I closed my eyes, "I'm fine."
"How was it?" She asked, changing the subject.
"Terrible. I cried the whole damn time."
"It's alright to cry, Harry. People cry all the time."
"An almost 27 year old man shouldn't cry all the time," I commented, opening my eyes to meet her worried ones.
She sighed, "You just worry me, love."
I cuddled her closer, kissing her head, "No need to worry, baby. I'm going to be okay. I love you, precious."
