Chapter 18

The next night i have another good sleep, but that was only because i had Reece sleeping right next to me we decided we'd do it from now on because i was really scared about Toby coming back, but secretly i love sleeping next to hi, i turn over and my eyes meet his bright blue ones.

"ugh i gotta get up"
"ah why i wanna stay in bed"
he grabs me round the waist and pulls me closer,
"Reece seriously I'm meeting Alex in an hour"
"oh you girls take so long to get ready"
"you take just as long you big girl"

I get up and head towards the bathroom and switch the shower on, once it reaches the right temperature i step in and let the hot water cascade all over skin.

When i get out the shower i put on leggings a baggy jumper and my ugg boots, then i remember i cant drive and the Starbucks where I'm meeting Alex is too far away to walk,
"hey baby"
"hiya"
"weren't you going to meet Alex"
"yeah slight issue with that"
"i cant drive"
"come on ill take you"

"ah your the best"

We get in the car and turn the music up, the drive is only about 10 minutes so we get there quite quick
"now you have a nice girl talk"
"haha that's what I've got you for"
"shh that's our secret"
he kisses my cheek
"later's baby"
"what time do you wanna pick me up"
"ill come get you about half 11 cause ill take you to lunch"
"ah that's sweet see you then"
i kiss his cheek and head inside.

When i get inside i scan the room and find Alex in a booth in the far corner I head over and sit opposite her 
"hi hows you"
"yeah I'm great"
"how was your date"
"our date was great"
I nearly break my neck turning around,
"you what are you doing here"
"well I'm with my girlfriend and i wanted to meet my best friends girlfriend"
"he's not your best friend that ended when y-"
"now now don't go spilling secrets you don't know much about"
At this point Alexis getting very confused,
"what's going on here, do you two know each other"
"we know of each other"
"well please can you go your not welcome here"
"Mandy don't be like that, that's my boyfriend your talking about"
"fine then ill go have a nice date"
"Mandy don't be like th-"

"no please don't Alex come to me when you actually want to spend time with me and not your boyfriend who is not as nice as you think"

I call Reece,
"can you come pick me up"

"that was quick did you have a nice time"
"no"
"um why not"
"ill tell you when you get here"
"ok I'll be 2 minutes"
"thank you"

He does arrive 2 minutes later just as he said, he gets out and opens the door for me,
"your the proper gentleman"
"your welcome milady"
Once we get in the car the questions start

"right why did you sound so upset on the phone"
"uh well Alex brought along her new boyfriend"
"are you ok what happened did he hurt either of you"
"calm down no neither of us are hurt but I don't think he would hurt Alex anyway"
"so what happened"
"he just wouldn't leave, and i tried telling him you weren't best friends any more then he Alex started asking questions and it all got very awkward so i said that she should come and find me when she actually wanted to talk to me not show of her new boyfriend"
"well we have to see him tomorrow"
" do i have to go"
"look i don't want to risk anything and he said if i don't bring you he's gonna hurt someone that i love and we all know who that is"
"me"
"yes you"
"okay fine but were not staying long"
"now how about we have that lunch i promised you"

We end up in a tiny little cottage café in the middle of nowhere,
"how did you find this place"
"my mother used to bring me here when i was little"
"that's cute is the food nice though"
"oh the food is lush"
"what's your favourite"
"hmm probably the steak sandwich"
"i don't really like the sound of that do they do tuna toasties"
"oh yeah they do they were my mums favourite as well their ok"
