His Maid

Chapter 25

Reece's p.o.v

Ugh how could I have been so stupid I knew that Toby wouldn't have wanted the money or Mandy this was about Hannah everything had been about Hannah from the start but Mandy, I love her so much we've been through so much together I can't lose her now?

I take the note back to my room, and start to pace I need to plan this and I know Toby will hurt her if I bring the police I need to get Mandy out of there alive even if I don't, I know exactly where Toby is talking about the place he always used to take us we used to go their all the time just the three of us that's where it started and that's where it's going to end quite ironic really.

I drive up to the house and park a block away I try to look for a side entrance I need to get Mandy out safe then ill sort the rest out, I walk round the rest of the house and finally find the side door which no one will expect me to know.

I just open the door a crack I sneak down one of the side corridors and slam into something hard, I curse under my breath when I realise who it is.

"oh hello my little nephew who isn't so little anymore"
"Ch-ch Chase wh- what are you doing here"
"oh no you can't be scared can you big bad Reece isn't scared of anything" I stand up tall and try to act like I wasn't scared"
"look Chase please just let her go this has nothing to do with Mandy"
"ah you see little nephew this has everything to do with Mandy, you remember Hannah don't you"
"don't"
"well I'm just saying Toby only wants his revenge"
"her death was an accident and that's it"
"well you're going to tell Mandy the truth and the whole truth and if you don't we'll kill her"
"you wouldn't"
"do you want to risk it"
"please just let her go"
"come on you can do this the hard way or the easy way"

I know I can't risk Mandy's life so I follow Chase through a series of winding paths I need to find Mandy I look in every room I pass, but there just seems to be more and more people all doing different things. Some watching tv others playing online games some just sitting around talking, it makes me wonder what's actually going on here do they know that a girl is being held at her life and her boyfriend probably won't make it out alive.

"Where are we going"
"you won't find out.." something hard is hit over my head and everything starts to dim,
"yet", then it all goes quiet.

I wake aching all over my eyes I try to move my arms but to no surprise they're strapped down, I try to open my eyes but it hurts like really hurts I feel like I've had my face smashed in. I open my eyes but stay deadly still I don't want anyone who may be in here to know I'm awake. As my eyes adjust I realise I'm in a living room there are 3 sofas surrounding a flat screen tv, beanbags dotted around the room. Wait if there's so many chairs why am I sat on the floor.

I try to move my legs but they're chained down as well, and the chains make a loud clanging on the floor and everyone turns to look at me, some in pity some in humour and others in anger I feel so alone and hated I just want to go home with Mandy safe in my arms.
"well looks who's finally awoken"
"Alex"
"oh so you actually remember who I am"
"can we not do this right now please I'm not in the mood"

She slaps me round the face hard like really hard,
"you bitch"
"now now Reece no need to be like that"
"please can you just go away I really don't want to talk to you"
"well I would but I did bring the medical kit to sort out your face but we don't have to do that I can just go if you want"

I don't want to look like pathetic so I just look away from her.
"fine if that's how you want to be", she chucks the kit at me and it's left in my lap, my face is aching and I can feel my throat go dryer and dryer by the minute.

I watch as people come and go it all goes quiet and loud but I actually get interested when I hear footsteps I sit up straight which I immediately regret when my arms are pulled tight behind my back meaning I have to slouch again.

I see Toby come in and at first I just get annoyed by his face but as he come closer to me I tense up I know exactly what's on his soldier even before he comes close to me it's Mandy,

"Mandy", my shouts only come out in a strangled whisper and the only person to actually hear me is Alex who it standing right next to me.
"ah is it nice to see your pretty little girlfriend again"
"shut up"
"you don't sound very strong whispering at me now do you"
"I haven't drank in hours I've been beat up how many times and I just want my girlfriend back"
"ah how sweet"

I ignore Alex and turn back to face Mandy, Chase is standing so close to her face I'm scared he's going to hurt her, he stands there for about a minute not doing much just watching her he starts to pace waiting for her to come back around.

She takes about a minute to come back around but thankfully enough I see her slowly start to move, Chase is above her in a second he speaks to her horribly,

"don't talk to her like that" I see her moving her head she knows it's me but she can't move or speak, her head turns, and I feel so much pain it's as if I've just felt everything she's been through. She has a black eye a scar across one cheek and on the other one a fresh hand mark how did she get that? No doubt it was probably Toby.

Chase whispers something in her ear and then walks back over to me he comes to about my height, he looks me straight in the eye and starts talking,

"ok little nephew this is how it's going to work were going to take you out of here and put you in another room, we'll wait for Mandy to get fully awoken and then you are going to tell her the whole story, and don't argue because you know I won't hesitate to hurt her."

"Please just let her go she has nothing to do with this"
"oh Reece you know she had everything to do with it from the moment you fell in love with her"

I look away from him and try to hold in my tear, I have to stay strong for Mandy.

I am dragged into a room it's got a long table and nothing else the curtains are pulled across giving the room a dark and dingy feeling I don't like it immediately.

I am sat at one end of the table and my hands and feet are strapped down,

"is this really necessary"
"we don't want you trying to go anywhere near poor little Mandy now do we"
I just roll my eyes at him, Chase sits and one of the chairs down the table from me but soon gets up and starts to pace, 
"so are you looking forward to finally telling Mandy your story"
"no of course not this will kill her"
"you brought this on yourself Reece I would say I'm sorry but I'd be lying"I look away from Chase and try not to think about what I'm about to do.
