I'll go first." I heard Carlyle speak as he stepped forward. We were pretty antithetical when it came to adventures. I was very cautious, always contemplating my next move before acting. He on the other hand would dive into action without thinking twice. Only one thing had me blinded and that was love and I was sure that wasn't going to happen anytime soon.
I looked at my brother as he smiled at me and stepped into the portal. He had vanished in a fraction of second. We all took our turns me being the cowardly second last. Darwin stepped in after me. He was right about the feeling. I felt like i was being tugged in a certain direction. My palms touched the grass as I made a very ungraceful landing. A lot of bizarre looks were being sent my way. Duke gave me a hand and I pulled myself up giggling.
"It...it was.. ticklish" I announced catching my breath.
We all took in our surroundings, preparing for a new life. It looked like a normal forest which was a good thing. Everything around was green and the sky was a dark orchid yet full of stars which seemed to glow and there stood a beautiful orb in the middle. Something like the moon but shining like a diamond.
"That is planet Krystallas. the core source of Crystal you can say" Darwin answered my thought.

"That planet is made of crystal?" Duke asked amazed.
"yes and it is also a very important power source." He patted Duke on the back.
'What time is it?" Jessica asked.
"Its twilight" Darwin answered. " We must get moving if we want to reach in time."
"Umm. where is our luggage?" asked looking around me. We had totally forgotten about it.
"It has been moved to your respective rooms. You will be sharing your rooms with your room partners. Some of them may have arrived for the freshman year, Some may arrive tomorrow. So if there is no name in the list right next to you on the door of your room. It means they haven't arrived yet.." replied Darwin.

As we stepped out in the clearing I could see a small road winding around the trees nearby and there was a huge Gate standing in the middle with no walls around it. We could see a structure behind the gate something that looked like a modern castle. Huge yet elegant with minarets rising in ascending order.
"A gate without a wall?" Carly raised an eyebrow. Jess raised her hand towards the empty space beside the gate and gasped. We watched as the place she touched started becoming visible, a red brick wall spreading across the two sides of the gate.
"One thing you need to keep in mind here is that, don't always believe what you see. there are things which cannot be seen but can be felt and experienced. The energy around us or what you call as 'magic' is a powerful force. You are one of the lucky ones to have heightened senses to experience it." explained Darwin.
