Ensorcelled Enigma (One direction, Fantasy)

*First Day*

ALLY'S P.O.V

         I checked my watch for what seemed like a hundredth time. Speed walking wasn't helping. Just about to sprint, a smooth voice caught my attention. I turned around to see my bestfriend come running towards me. "Hey!!! You too... Where? I got lost." She said catching her breath.

"Yes! Important points to remember, 1.Sleep on time and get up on time. 2. Wake your room partner after you are done having a bath or 3.Never let Harry into the bathroom first." I said counting the points on my fingertips while dragging her to the classroom.

"Same here." She laughed. It was our first day and all thanks to our famefreaked room mates, we were late and they didn't even bother to wait for us.

       We just walked to the class owing to the fact that we were already late. Miss Griffin ushered us in. "Miss Silverstorm, Miss Bukator late on the very first day. Not a good start." she spoke disapproval colouring her tone. We murmered sorry as we joined our group who occupied the behind benches. I curiously gazed at the guy with the grey hair who smiled at my bestfriend that sat next to him. He was cute, I knew he was on the same floor as us but I had no idea as to who he was.

          I gazed at the beings standing behind our principal. I couldn't call them humans probably they were professors. I smiled as I recognized Darwin at the corner and wondered what subject he would teach us. Miss Griffin had already introduced them before we entered so we would have to figure it out in each class. She briefed us about the academic year, half of which we already knew.

        After the briefing session we walked out talking with excitement clear on everyone's faces. I tuned out Jess who was busy chattering about some cute guy that sat beside her. Not paying attention I slammed into someone and two hard hands steadied me. "Watch while you walk miss" A husky voice left from the stranger's lips at which I was now openly staring. He smirked recognizing my gaze and I flushed looking down.

"Stefan..." He murmered kissing my hand lightly as he left without any other word or even asking my name. I stared at his back which was covered in a dark hoodie and his red hair stood out in the crowd. He pulled off the punk mysterious look really well.

"Are you even listening to me? Oh..who was that?" Jess's voice rang through my ears. I looked around nodding and then shrugging to her as we walked towards our respective classes.

       I looked at the sky as the afternoon slowly faded into the evening, the colours getting deeper. It was my last class and I was already late as i had to cross the whole campus to reach the arena. As I increased my speed suddenly a hand grabbed mine and i found myself being dragged. I recognized my curly haired room mate and i had to sprint to keep up with his speed.

"What are you doing?" I asked annoyed.

"We are late for the class." He replied simply.

        The Arena was a huge open space surrounded by stone seats. It had two sculptures on the entrance, A magnificent creature that almost resembled a dragon with symbols carved on it. A group of about 200-250 students stood in the center. As we walked towards the crowd, I scanned it to search for my friends. As my eyes found our little group in a corner, I pulled Harry with me. We were aurrounded by chattering of the students and excitement electrified the air.

       I was busy talking about my first day with the girls when Cathy nudged me and there was a sudden silence. I looked up and found myself smiling at knowing who our professor for 'Art of Combat' was going to be.

"Good Evening freshers! My name is Darwin Strelus and i will be teaching you the Art of Combat." His velvety voice boomed through the arena. "Attack and Defence are the major topics of this class and I'll be helping you with the culmination of your power and the right use of it. Anyways being the first class. I want you all to form a line and introduce yourself and your powers to the rest of the class. There will be groups formed on the basis of your talents."

         I was suddenly nervous. showcasing my power in front of everyone didn't seem like a good idea to me. We girls stood behind the boys to wait for our turns. I stood flabbergasted as the students one by one introduced themselves and brilliantly handled their powers. Some also had me worried and giggling at the same time. Like a guy named Arneelo who was absolutely nervous and being a fire elemental he almost burnt the girl standing in the front. A steady spell from Darwin stopped the flames at the right moment and he stood embarassed in front of the crowd. I wondered if that was going to be the case with me and sharing a stare with Cathy i knew she had the same thing on her mind.

       Carlyle and Duke confidently stepped forward introducing themselves. "We prefer to work as a team and we rock at it." They spoke giving eachother a high-five. I rolled my eyes and Cathy facepalmed herself. "We are techmorphs" they continued. I could have laughed at their superhero behaviour but the sight in front of me left me with my mouth hanging open. Duke and Carly stood back to back their hands raised as they focused. Suddenly I could see metal parts flying out of nowhere. Gears, glass etc floating in the evening breeze. It felt like i was watching a tranformer's movie only with a difference that my friends were waving their hands as the gears shifted and the clacking sound of metal reached my ears. In a matter of minutes a bike stood in front of us which resembled a Hayabusa only lacking a good paint job and some finishing touches.

"Does it work?" A girl named XO4 asked. I know that's a weird name. Carly got on his creation starting it and the hum of it coming to life brought a round of applause from the students. "Good work.Next!!!" Darwin smirked. "Hiie I am Niall Horan. You all will be needing some sweaters except for the fire elementals and yaa I love food." He smiled and brought his hands together.Suddenly the temperature dropped and my teeth were chattering. I could see the layer of ice forming on the nearby stone benches. He stopped and scratched his neck muttering a sorry as he watched us all shiver. "Oi Zayn help me with that." He stated and Zayn stepped up shaking his head with a smirk plastered on his face.

"Zayn Malik. Fire elemental." He simply stated and he raised his hands outward. His eyes shifted to burning vermillion orbs and flames covered his body. This change of temperature was really getting on my nerves. "Niall catch!!" He shouted and there was a fireball flying through air and the fun part was that it froze halfway and landed in Niall's hands shining like crystal in the evening. Niall flipped the snow ball away which shattered to the floor in million pieces

        Then there I stood frozen as the crowd stared at me. Cathy nudged me and I moved forward. Introducing myself as a water elemental, I took a deep breath as I closed my eyes. It was quite easy then I had thought. The energy flowing through me was refreshing. I opened my eyes sensing the moisture in the air and raising my hands, I pulled them down. I could hear the gasps and giggles from around as the water showered on everyone making them wet. Earning glares from fire elementals I smirked.

"Okay guys that's it for today." Darwin clapped his hands.Scanning the crowd I noticed familiar red hair. I looked at the person who stood at the end of the line with an arrogant smirk. As I stared at him, he smiled blowing me a kiss.

"This is going to be an interesting year." Cathy murmered walking beside me. She was talking about the place and power I knew but it somehow was spoken at the right time.

"Definately!" I replied lost in my own thoughts as I kept my stare on the bizarre boy 'Stefan'.
