JESSICA'S P.O.V

I walked into the room tired and sticky from all the sweat. All I needed was a good bath. I was satisfied with my archery skills. It took my mind of all the tentions and problems. Father's letters still kept nagging my mind. Recently he had wished me  luck for the upcoming exams. it was really starting to annoy me that I couldn't speak to him, I wanted to accuse him for everything that I had been through. Living without a dad sucks! how could I trust a man if my father didn't even bother to stay with my mum and here was my life's irony, I was in love with my icy room-mate and I knew this would end badly. Somewhere between all those silly laughs and madness I had fallen in love and I was scared...very scared. I had seen my mum crying late night, breaking down when she thought I had slept. She missed him and she was hurt and I couldn't do anything about it.

"Jessica.." Two cold hands gripped my face and I blinked to stare into the fierce blue orbs. His expression was serious, troubled. The pads of his thumbs stroked my cheeks and that's when I felt the cold wet tears. I hadn't realized I was crying.

"What's wrong?" He whispered, his voice soft.

"I...nothing.." I murmered.

"Jess...don't lie to me. What's wrong love?" There was so much emotion in his voice, how could I stay quiet. His eyes were raging with concern.

"Father..." I whispered and another round of tears spilled out. I never cried in front of my mum. She needed me to be strong. Two strong arms wrapped around my body. and a shiver ran down my spine, It was a wierd feeling. The feeling I hadn't experienced in a long time, the feeling of being safe. he rubbed soothing circles on my back not saying a word. Finally when I was done wailing and crying till there were no more tears left I pulled away.

"Sorry about the shirt." I sniffled pointing at the wet patch on his shirt. He looked down and shrugged.

"No problem. I will frame it actually. A hot girl bawled her eyes out on my chest. it's not everyday that it happens." He pulled off his shirt turning around and staring at it in the light. I should have been offended but he was just trying to lighten up the mood and it worked, a smile curved on my face. My eyes trailed down his back and I gasped.

"You got a tattoo." His back stiffened at my words and his shoulders tensed. He turned around swiftly walking towards the closet.

"Yea..just tribal art." He mumbled. The symbol didnot look like tribal art atleast not from the earth. I had seen the symbol somewhere before but I couldn't recollect it. Again I felt a hand grab mine.

"You should really stop zoning out like that. That won't help you while writing the exams. Lets get you something to eat."  Niall said as he dragged me out.

I was practically stuffing my face with lemon chicken wraps when a commotion grabbed my attention.

"Put me down or I will freeze your ass!" Ally yelled and I gawked at Harry who walked with a cheeky smile plastered on his face. He seemed to have no care in the world.

"Relax Allyboo. You need a break." He simply stated as he put her down on a chair that Lou turned for him.

"You could have just asked!" She yelled furiously yet there was evident blush on her cheeks.

"I did..but the patience wore off the twentieth time." He said munching on a fish finger that he stole from Niall's plate. Niall glared at him and a thick layer of ice formed around Harry's fingers. Harry sighed and thorns errupted from his fingers shattering the ice.

Cool..

"Not funny bro." Harry mumbled.

"Yea old trick. He just got used to it." Ally shrugged and we all laughed. Ofcourse she would try something like that on him.
