Chanyeol has been a bit more distant than ever. When I found out one of the maids told him I went out with a guy, I got so mad at everyone that I fired that particular maid. My dad doesn't mind, though. She's not a loss to us. I feel a bit guilty, but they were in no position to talk about me or at least share an information about me. I may be guilty, but they should know their place.
And everytime Chanyeol won't talk to me, Baekhyun is always there to make me laugh, or at least fill the emptiness. I never imagined having so much fun with him. He's naturally funny, and a bit dorky at times. But he's a bit secretive, too. It's good, right? I mean, we're only friends, I guess.
"Let's go clubbing tonight." Baekhyun insisted.
"I have so much work to do, Baek." I said. "And besides, aren't you busy?"
"Nope. Cleared this day for you. Please?" He's pleading with his puppy look again.
"Ugh, Baek!" I said, trying to avoid his pleads, but I can't. "Fine!"
"Really?" I saw him smile widely.
"Give me five minutes." I said and turned off the video call.
I showered quickly. After shower, I picked out a glittery, yellow dress, black peep-toed pumps and my black mini-bag. I applied a little bit of make up. For tonight, red lipstick is a must since we'll go clubbing.
I texted Tiffany and Seohyun if they could go clubbing with us, and only Tiffany sent a confirmation. She's always active when it's clubbing. I grabbed my car keys, my phone, perfume, some make-up for retouch, wallet and all the other things I might need.
I was surprised to see a matte-black lamborghini parked outside. I smiled, but I was surprised to see Chanyeol get out of it. I don't know what to say. He looked so confused, but he walked towards me.
"Going out with your friends?" He asked.
"Yeah..." I said, avoiding his stare. "Friends."
"Can we talk for five minutes, first?" He asked.
I took a deep breath. How can I say no? "Sure. I'll just text Tiffany."
"Thanks."
That was half-true. I did text Tiffany, but I also texted Baekhyun, telling them to spare me half an hour. I don't know if our conversation will be long, though. I'm just assuming we'll talk for half an hour or less.
"What is it, Chanyeol?" I asked him.
"I'm sorry." He said and held my hand.
"I'm partly at fault," I admitted. "But not talking to me for almost a month? Am I not your girlfriend?"
"I know... I was just busy." He looked away. "Taking care of some stuff."
"Well, I'm sorry for lying, too." I said and held his hand tighter. "That guy was just a friend."
"I know I shouldn't be possessive, but I can't help it." He said and looked at me. "I'm in love with you."
What he said took me by surprise. He loves me? But why am I surprised, anyway? He's my boyfriend, I'm his girlfriend. Isn't that how it's supposed to be? Aren't I supposed to be in love with him? But why do I feel this way?
I just hugged him tight. "Let's talk tomorrow." I said and let go of him.
"Do you need a ride?" I heard him say.
"No, it's fine. I can ask Tiffany to pick me up." I said and smiled at him faintly. "I'm sorry."
"No, it's okay."
