The way back to what both of us know

What's really going on
I don't know what happened the time you were gone.
"Do you really want me to go home?"
I was trying to fight what I'd always known
I wished you could have stayed
But I wouldn't have known what to say
I let you go home
Without another word.
You were my heart and my hope
So many things went wrong
You were my home
I always felt so safe
But that was shattered in one day
It may not ever be the same.
There's only one way to know
That's to let you come back home.
