Ripped in half
Shattered heart
Pulled apart
By what I thought was true
But nothing is what is what it seemed
Ever since I met you.
I thought you loved me
I thought you cared
I thought you'd always be there
Instead I was so wrong
You always wanted someone else
Closer to me
Than I ever believed
Didn't think you'd ever hurt me
And then you did
Hurt more than I ever imagined.
Torn between being free
And finding new love
Wanting revenge
Getting back at you for hurting me so much
Tearing apart a bond
That you destroyed.
Can't trust
Can't love
All because of you
I want you to feel this way too.
Not my usual kind of poem, but @FaithChange asked me to write a poem for her book so... hopefully she likes this!
