Chapter One

***

Supers, these powerful human beings stood out among the rest of the world's population. They came as righteous heroes to evil masterminds. It wasn't that long until I had met a Super which changed my entire life, was he the villain? Or the hero?

The school opening opened with a bang. Balloons and steamers hung everywhere. Students crowding the entrance hallway. I decided to wait a little more until the entrance would clear up a little. I leaned against a nearby tree and grabbed my phone to pretend that I was texting to look less awkward.

6:43 - Hi dear, just wanted to check on your first day there at Jackson, are you alright?

6:45 - Text me if you need anything dear. :)

6:48 - Are you doing well there? Have you made any friends yet?

Mom, all mom's messages. She's probably the only textmate I have, I know I'm sad but what other choice do I have to make?

Mom...calm down...I'm doing fine. I mumbled as I typed to reply. Right after I had sent the message, another text came in, this time from an unknown number.

Meet me by the vending machine in cafeteria at 3:30.

The message stated which creeped me out, and judging by the time written, this is right after dismissal time. It's either this creep is stalking me or he had sent this to the wrong number.

Uck, school. I said to myself as I walked towards the entrance which got less crowded. I get greeted by the cold air from the air-conditioning right after I had stepped on the threshold. I then cocked my backpack on my right shoulder and pulled a section of my red hair behind my ear. No familiar faces met me, I just moved here in Jackson last week. And I'm staying in the university's dorms too.

"Nice clothes, still shopping in the boys' section?" A slutty looking female senior student said as she walked passed me. She had a few other girls on her tail and I already knew they were going to back her up.

"Give her a break, that's what I used to wear when I was a virgin." A blonde girl following said and they all laughed like the bitches I faced in middleschool. I didn't know how cruel these students could be, Jackson has changed a lot afterall. I was only wearing a red checkered shirt and some jeans, did they really hate new students that bad?

I took a step forward and continued walking towards the bulletin board on the right of the hallway beside some red lockers trying to forget what had just happened, I have a strong self-esteem. The board had information about which classrooms students are assigned at.

Silhouette, Silhouette... I mumbled my last name as I ran my finger across the paper containing various students' names. Come on...Oh-uh... My finger unexpectedly bumps into another. I quickly snapped my head to my right where the finger traced from. My eyes narrowed when I saw a rather good-looking guy who seemed a year ahead of me.

"Oh, hey, sorry bout' that new kid." The guy with blue eyes and dark hair said. He was taller than me, about 4 more inches taller. I swiped my eyes across his eyebrows, his eyes, his cheeks, his lips, his chin, and his jawline. His deep, husky voice kept my mouth shut so I stared instead of replying back.

"Are...you okay?..."

"Oh-oh-umm...yeah, totally, I was just-just...thinking about about something else..." I replied awkwardly. The air around me suddenly became colder which made my leg muscles twitch, I could fall anytime right now.
