Chapter Eight

***

It was Matt (which was obvious) but he looked older. His forehead was slightly wrinkled and so were the egdes of his eyes. His stubble was thicker too compared to the Matt I made out with.

The Matt I saw looked older than the Matt I had touched my lips with. He looked five years ahead which made my head ache, what was this now? A prank?

"Matt?"

Matt smirked and snickered, it seemed to him like I was okay but I wasn't. I was confused, more confused than not knowing what I didn't know in a Math test.

"This is a joke, right? You're just wearing make up, some contouring-"

"This is me Rose. I'm the real Matt." Matt intruded and stared his blue eyes into mine. Our faces were just a few inches away and he could see tears forming on the corner of my eye out of confusion and lack of answers.

"Then who was that other Matt? The Matt at school, the Matt who kissed me? Who was he?" I asked and raised my tone on each question.

"He was a clone." Matt's smile broke into a plain line.

"If he was a clone, then why..."

"I can only summon my younger clone. That clone, the Matt you knew, was biologically eighteen."

"How old are you then?" I asked and backed away. My tears had already dried up after hearing the truth which sounded like a joke.

"I'm twenty-five. I make my younger clones go to school, or work, stuff like those while I laze around. I can't seem to spawn clones my age and they don't inherit my powers too."

This was the last power he concealed. This held everything together, the Matt I've macked was never real, he, or it, was just a clone who had no emotions like the real Matt. Even though the clone looked hot, Matt looked hotter because of his matured stubble.

"Show me then, show me how you summon your clones."

"If you say so." Matt said then stood up with a smirk and raised his left hand to his side. It began to glow in a faint white light. Matt narrowed his eyes as the light grew brighter and there he was, the clone, the Matt I touched emerged from the light. I couldn't look at Matt the same like before anymore.

"The clones can remember too. This clone was the one you met at the diner." Matt said while the clone stood still. I cringed to the thought that I was basically making out with a biologically mutated human being. The clone turned and looked at me, his face was nearly identical to Matt's. The clone wore a green shirt with faded jeans.

"Sup Rose...how you doing?" Matt's clone raised and laughed nervously.

"Does he have the same way of thinking as you?" I asked Matt.

"Well...he basically thinks like me when I was eighteen. Which is weird."

This felt like it already ended. I've uncovered Green Acrobat's mask that only showed his eyes, mouth, and jaw. I wouldn't want to imagine the three of the Matt's raping me in my room...at night...while dad isn't home...while there's no school tomorrow...but I'm just saying ya' know. It's still weird having a Super in my side, if he really is. I still have some doubts about Matt, or the Green Acrobat.

"So..." I raised. The three of us were silently awkward trying not to make any eye contact. Two Matts were here, one who's yet to become a fine hunk, while the other who's all grown up but a huge dork for wearing that mask and tights.

"So we plan on how we stop Sarah, the freshman." The clone said.

"You know her?"

"Well...yeah, she's at the same club as I am last year and this year. And I also know she inherits powers. Rumor has it that Sarah seduces...or, lures new students at night and eats them alive with her all-canine teeth and vicious tiger like claws. You're lucky Green Acrobat saved you." The clone replied and his voice cracked at his last sentence. And he still went to school?
