LXXXIV

The morning air is crisp with the excitement of a new chapter. It's the first day of nursery school for Taegukk and Jaehyun, now bright, energetic four-year-olds.

Tae is nervously smoothing down gukk's crisp new uniform, while kook is trying to adjust his tiny tie, making him squirm.

"Do I have to wear this tie, Papa?" gukk grumbles, already a little tired of the formality. He still has his intense, focused eyes, but they now hold a hint of school-day jitters.

"Yes, my big boy! It's your nursery uniform!" kook laughs, giving his son a quick, reassuring hug. "You look so handsome!"

Tae cup his face. Her heart feels heavy, every mother feels this. Even tho it's just few hours but it's too long for a mother who stays around her child 24/7.

"Be a good boy for teachers okay, listen to them and make friends. Also take care of jaehyun too okay." She caress his cheeks softly. Eyes slowly watering.

"Don't worry mama, gukkie is a big boy now" tae chuckle. "My big boy" she peck his forehead lovingly.

Gukk cup her cheeks with his small ones and pull her closer to kiss her cheek. Tae smile with teary eyes. "Are you sad because gukkie is going to school?" He ask, his bambi eyes into in his mother's.

Tae shake her head. "Ik you'll come soon I'm...just thinking my small baby become a big boy now" she put her forehead against his.

"I'm always your small baby mama" gukk peck her nose who pass a wide smile. "Ofcourse. My small little gukkie" she tickle his sides who giggle.

Kook, who was watching the mother-son's heartwarming scene finally middle in. "Wow! All the kisses only for mama. Nothing for papa?" He playfully make a sad face.

Gukk and tae share a glance before opening their arms for him. Kook break into a wide smile and hug them tightly, arms embracing both.

Gukk kiss on his left cheek while tae kiss on his right cheek making him smile ear to ear.

Across the room, Jennie is making sure Jaehyun's shoelaces are tied perfectly. Jaehyun, ever the cheerful one, is practically bouncing with excitement.

"Mama! Papa! Can we go now? I want to see the school!" Hoseok crouches down, giving Jaehyun a high-five. "That's my brave little explorer! Ready for new adventures!"

They all pile into the car. The short drive to the nursery school feels incredibly long. As they pull up, the schoolyard is a buzz of little children and parents.
