LXXXV

The mansion is bustling, and in taekook's bedroom, a different kind of drama is about to unfold.

Tae, after a relaxing bath, has just wrapped herself in a towel. She realizes that she forgot to bring her clothes in with her. Her mind flashes back to kook's playful threats from earlier. She gulps.

Slowly and carefully, Tae peeks her head out the bathroom door, scanning the room. No one.

A small sigh of relief escapes her lips. She makes sure the coast is clear and, with a swift, quiet step, she comes out.

But as soon as her foot hits the carpet, two strong arms wrap around her from behind, caging her.

Tae gasps, a squeak of surprise escaping her. kook lifts her effortlessly in the air, spinning her around slightly.

"Now where will you go? Kitten" he asks, his voice low and teasing. He holds her tightly against him, making her whine.

"Hubby! That's cheating! You were hiding!" Tae whines, trying to twist out of his hold. "That's not fair! Please Leave meee!"

Kook chuckles, a deep, happy sound. "Oh, my love, didn't I tell you earlier? It's all fair in game, w-" "War and love! I know, I know!" Tae finishes his sentence with an exasperated sigh.

kook smirks as he puts her down, but he doesn't let go. He reaches out and playfully tugs at a corner of her towel.

"No way! Don't even think!" Tae says, slapping his hand away. Kook gives her a look that is both playful and dangerous.

"Oh, I will. And thank God for this towel, because if you once know the things I'm thinking right now about you..." He grab her by her waist and pull her closer.

His lips hovering hers just apart from from touching. Tae wide bambi eyes looking at up him. "you might end up bouncing on my d-"

Suddenly, the doorknob rattles. A tiny voice from the other side calls out. "MAMA!" Taekook freeze.

The doorknob clicks open, and with a shared, panicked look, both of them sprint back into the bathroom, slamming the door shut with a loud thud.

It's a completely unnecessary reaction, but pure instinct takes over.

The room is silent for a moment. A tiny frown appears on gukk's face as he looks at the empty bedroom. But then he remembers the voices he heard. "MAMA! PAPA!" he yells, his voice now a little worried.

Behind the bathroom door, Taekook stand frozen, their hearts pounding. "Why did you come inside?" Tae whisper-yells at kook.

kook gives her a nervous look, running a hand through his hair. "I... I panicked. Sorry."Tae glares at him, but her expression is half-amused.

Suddenly, a little fist starts to knock on the bathroom door. "Mama! Are you inside? I hear voices. Mama! Papa!" gukk yells, knocking again and again.

"Go!" Tae whispers urgently to kook.
He sighs and nods. With a pout, he quickly leans down and steals a quick kiss from her, then throws open the door.

He scoops gukk into his arms. "Yes, Gukkie! Were you looking for your Mama?"

"Yes, Papa! But I heard Mama's voice from inside!" Gukk questions innocently, pointing a little finger at the bathroom door. "How can you come from inside?"

Kook's mind races. He stammers, "Um... actually, I was inside, baby. Mama isn't here."

He somehow takes gukk outside the bedroom, trying to distract him with new lies to save them from a very embarrassing situation. They can't handle another almost exposed moment.
