Peter's POV
I woke up to have Reagan lying on my chest. She was still asleep and I didn't want to wake her so I stayed still. She had said that she loved me. I hoped that it wasn't just her being tired and confused. There was a knock on the door and Reagan opened her eyes.
"Who is it?" I asked.
"It's me, Aidan. I can't find Reagan. Have you seen her?" Reagan looked up at me nervously.
"She might be in her room!"I yelled.
"Already checked," he said.
"In the kitchen?"
"I'll check now." I heard him run off and Reagan slid out of my bed.
"I'll go out the window," she said.
"You don't have to leave," I said, standing also. She smiled warmly at me.
"No, it's fine. I'll see you in a few." I opened the window for her and she jumped out. I watched her fly off and around the corner. I quickly changed into my usual outfit, silver jacket, Pink Floyd shirt, pants, and sneakers. I walked out the door and headed towards the kitchen, hands in my pocket.
Aidan was standing in the middle of the crowd kitchen, searching for Reagan. I headed over to him.
"Did you find her?" He asked. I could hear worry and I felt a twinge of gilt.
"Yeah, she's upstairs in her room." We both turned and headed upstairs at the same time. We were almost there when a girl stopped us.
"Aren't you Peter Maximoff? The kid that went searching for that missing girl?"
"Yeah," I said, frowning.
"That's amazing. You know, I think that heroes are really cute." She gripped my jacket and pulled me around the corner. I heard Aidan walk off and I looked at the girl. She had red hair and bright eyes. I went to push her away from me but she was latched on.
"Ummm I have a girlfriend," I lied.
"That ugly girl? No way would you be stupid enough to fall for her." She tugged me closer until we were in the corner and we were chest to chest.
"Don't," I said weakly as she pulled me down to her height and kissed me. I struggled to push her away.
"Let's go the other way Reagan. This hall might be crowd," I heard Aidan say.
"No worries," Reagan said. I closed my eyes as I heard her round the corner. She stopped dead and I finally got a nice shove off the girl.
"Nice meeting you Quicksilver," the girl said as she walked off. I stayed where I was, my mouth open.
"Reagan," I said, turning around. She was staring at me, nothing but hurt in her face. Then, she turned and ran off. I looked at Aidan who was giving me the "you screwed up real bad" look before he ran after Reagan. I stood there, feeling empty. I really had screwed up bad hadn't I?

Reagan's POV

I ran down the hallway, tears streaming down my face. I could feel my heart crumbling in my chest. I had loved him but he tossed me away like I was nothing important. I kicked the door open at the end of the hall and walked outside. I felt someone touch my shoulder and I turned, ready to yell at Peter. Instead, I came face to face with Aidan. He held his arms open for me and I fell into them, sobbing.
"I'm so sorry Reagan," he said. I didn't say anything, just allowed him to hold me. He brushed my hair with his fingers and kissed the top of my head every now and again. That's when I realized I was wrong. I don't think that I love Peter at all. He obviously doesn't love me. Maybe I was meant to be with Aidan.
After a little while, we went back inside where all the students were. I kept the tears out of my eyes and leaned on Aidan, who had an arm constantly on my shoulder and glared at anyone who shot glances at my red eyes and his soaked shirt. We got to class and I saw Peter sitting there. He stood as we went toward him but Aidan steered me in the other direction, towards the front of the class.
"Reagan, wait," Peter said, running up behind us. He put a hand on my shoulder and Aidan shoved him onto the ground. I turned, looking down at him.
"Reagan, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do that. She kissed me," he said, standing.
"Save your excuses for someone who cares," I spat and sat down with Aidan beside me. Peter say behind us and I did my best to ignore him for the whole class. Aidan stuck with me all day but I missed having Peter at my side. It felt like someone had torn off my arm.
I went into my bedroom and changed into pajamas, crawling into bed. I was almost asleep when I heard someone knock on the door.
"Go away Peter," I hissed.
"Reagan, I'm not leaving until you hear me out."
"Get lost!"
"No." I heard a thump and he was leaning against my door. I groaned and rolled over and hoped he would leave. I fell asleep and when I woke up, it was about midnight.
I stood and walked over to the door. I opened it and Peter fell back on me. He was passed out and didn't even wake when he fell on me. I reached down and lifted him the best I could. He doesn't weigh a lot but he weighs more than me. I shoved him onto my bed and he flopped over, face down. I spun him around and collapsed next to him.
"I'm still mad at you," I whispered into his ear. "Sleep on that!" I turned over and went to pull the blanket up but he was lying on it. I sighed and laid against his back, enjoying his warmth. I fell asleep pretty quick though.
