It was a beautiful day today, the sun was shining down on the city as the people  went about their everyday business. though at the moment some people were sitting at a cafe, staring at the ex-villain Demon bull king as he sipped his tea, he had gotten  a message from  Wukong that seemed urgent, which was strange seeing the Monkey King ask for him for urgent matters but agreed  because he was curious as to what this was all about. 

"Thanks again for coming Bull king we really appreciate it" Wukong said as he ate his pastry. Both he and Macaque were wearing disguises so as to not draw TOO much attention on them. DBK places his cup on its plate, "I came because I wondered why it is you wished to see me, as you put it in your message 'urgently' " he said. Macaque sat up straighter pushing his coffee to the side "Well. . .  because we were wondering. . . why did you and Princess Ironfan get married when you both were already mated?" he asked.  

DBK raises an eyebrow "Excuse me?" he asked surprised . Wukong pulls his hoodie up higher around his head and nods "Yeah, we wanna know why. .  why would you do it? being mated to her, you are both bonded by soul and no one in the world could ever get in between you guys. .  so why waste your energy  with marriage? it just seems so. . . . dumb? i guess" he explains. 

DBK nods his head, understanding  why he would say that, he leans back in his chair. "I see. . .  that's the thing you two don't seem to understand. . . being bonded to one another announces to other demons we are together and that scares the off but marriage is a way for HUMANS to know that your mate is taken, I married her in the beginning wanting to keep the humans and other celestial being away from her but. . .  Marriage is. .  its a special important moment to show off the love you have for your partner and mates" he explains as he thought back to his own wedding day and smiles. "When I proposed to Ironfan. . . she was so excited, so joyful. . . she cried tears of happiness and she worked so hard on the wedding, making it perfect for not only herself but for I as well. . .  she wanted to show off how much out love was important to her so much so she rebelled against the celestial realm in order to be with me"  

Wukong and Macaque listened intensely never realizing that while other demons knew that Maria was taken and would dare not attempt to flirt with her, There were still humans that would not know she was claimed. DBK sighs "I remember her in her beautiful attire. . . she had chosen to become a demon for me, but in my eyes she will always be a queen to me."

Macaque looks down at his reflection in his cup, ". . . .Sweet plum, But she is till a human by heritage, I never realized how. . . . meaningful marriage could be" he whispers. DBK leaned down slightly "Marriage is also to be shared with the ones your love and the one who want to celebrate your love and happiness" he said. Macaque then thinks about Mk smiling fondly at the ideas of him in tux crying, seeing his mother in a beautiful dress. 

Wukong plays with the crumb of his pastry. "Damn I never thought of it like that" he said "that is because  you only think with the staff attacked to you" DBK comments with sass as he sipped his tea. Wukong spits and slams his hands on the table "HEY!!" he shouts indignantly. Macaque looks away as he blushes softly "Maac!" Wukong whines as his mate doesn't defend him.
