CH 5: The Choice

(Present day)

And thats how Clare became leader. The room is silent and all the warriors attention is on Clare. This is the second meeting Clare conmense with everyone presented, except for the young girls, they are with Raki who are babysitting them along with some of the nuns in the temple.
With the first meeting was taken place two weeks ago before all the warriors left with thier units and resolve a problem. A problem Clare notice weeks before she became leader. To avoid futher conflict, Clare came up with this idea. The idea is to have warriors who don't get along with each other in a unit of sixteen and live togeter for two weeks. Clare hopes it will work, in the end it actually did. Looking at her fellow warriors, Clare is please to see everyone getting along. Now that the problem is solved, she decided to take it to the next level; to find a land to live on.
"Welcome back fellow warriors" said Clare loud enough to be herd.
"I am happy everyone of you survive and is pleased to see everyone of you are getting along" said Clare "before we start this meeting are thier any questions?"

There was a moment of silence before someone rais thier hand. Everyone turn to see who it was; it was Ray. Undine wonders what she is up too.
"I have a question" said Ray steping up to the front.
Clare turns to her giving Ray her full attention.
"At first when you decided to pit us in a group of warriors who we hate, I did not understand what you are trying to do" said Ray "but after seeing the processes and some explaining I now understood"
Clare smiled "I am glad you did Ray, but there is something that is bothering you, right?"
"Yes I would like to know for what purpose did you have us learn to trust each other?"

Undine grunted and clench her fist. She thought that Ray understood Flora's explanation. She wanted to punch her in the gut, but that would be pointless. Everyone waited for Clare's answer.
"The purpose of for everyone of you to learn to trust each other is beacuse you will need it for the journey we will take" said Clare "I had made a desision to find a place to settle on"

Everyone is surprised to hear this from thier leader, but then again Clare always surprises them.
"What made you decide that?" Question Helen.
"Looking at this city and how we live in, Rebona is not big enough nor can it support us" said Clare
"What are you saying Clare? Rebona has welcomed us with opean arms"
"Yes but that is not the point"
"Then what is"
"To find our place on this earth"
Once again thier was silence.
"I couldn't agree more" said Miria
"Same here" said Irean
"But thier is something I need to tell you all" said Clare "if any of you choose to stay or part ways, you have the freedom to do so, I won't consider it betrayal and if you decide to return I will welcome you back"

Once again there was silence in the room, no one raised thier hand.
"Leader may I ask you a question?" Said someone.
Everyone turn to Audrey, she was one of single didgets of the 79Th generation. Audrey step forward to the front along side with Ray.
"What is your question?" Asked Clare.
"Do you doubt us enough to tell us its ok to live a different life eventhough we already decided on our path?"
Clare is taken back by Audrey's question.
Then Clare suddenly realize why Audrey ask her that question.
"No I don't doubt you nor anyone els" said clare. She then step down and walk toward Audrey.
"Audrey by path do you mean the desisions off many or your own path who you your self have choosen?"
Audrey had a blank look, she could not answer Clare right away for she is unsure.

Clare could sense Audrey's hesitation. She look at her other fellow warriors, they too are hesitated and confused. Clare returns to the steps of the rockey stage in the chapel.
"This is the reason why I said if you decided to part ways I will not be anger by it, nor will I consider it betrayal" said Clare "think for yourselves, if you have goals, do them, if you have plans, use them. Don't let anything get in the way of living your life as you please"
All the warriors are awed by what Clare had said, once again she surprised them.
"I will let you think about it for a couple days until next week, you are all dismissed"
Clare exit through the back door, with Jean following her as usual. Clare did her part as leader, now its up to her fellow warriors to decide on thier own paths.
