CH 8: Familiarity

It sun rise and the clan is training in the woods for today. Clare and Jean had a head start and are now takeing a break. Everyone is training, including the girls who are takeing lesssons from Irene.

But then Clare notice that some of her comrads are in a bad mood. You could feel it in the atmosphere around them. She is wondering why they are in a bad mood. Did something happen? She was about to ask one of her comrads when someone called her name.

"Clare!" Said a familiar angry voice.
"Good morning Galatea" Said Clare.
"Clare you need to tell Jean to use her yoki so she can find you easily"
Clare is kind of confused of what Galatea is trying to say.
"Um ok" said Clare
"Thank you Clare"
Then Galatea walk away.

It was not long when someone els call her name.
"Clare!" Said someone.
Three of her comrads approach her, phina, Keira, and Renee. Renee stood behind them as if she is looking out for them.

"Um Clare.....well we don't mean to complain, but could you ask Jean to stop being so noisy" said Phina nervously.
"Not like that Phina, Clare might get the wrong idea" said keira "what Phina mean is could you......"
" could you have Jean not to wake us up like she did this morning" said Renee stepping in.
"She made almost everyone think there is a yoma attacking"
"Ok" said Clare simply
"Thank you that will be all, Leader" said Renee
She then turn around and left, with Phina and Keira follow.

At this point Clare got a good Idea of what is going on with everyone, and why some of them are in a bad mood.

"Clare" said a voice like if someone is about to die.
Clare nearly jolted at the sight of Helen in a really bad mood.
"What's wrong with you?" She asked
Helen put both of her hands on Clare's shoulders.
"Do me a favor, the next time you decide to sleep somewhere els please take Jean with you" she said.
"Um? Ok!" Said Clare "what did Jean do?"

"When Jean discovers you where gone, she serch the entire church, when she could not find you she woke up almost everyone and saying ' this is urgent', everyone got up thinking there is a yoma attacking, but that was not the reason, the real reason was she cannot find you, it made almost everyone angry" said Deneve "thats why Helen is in a bad mood"
"Oh I see" said Clare now realizeing the sistuation.
"The next time Jean does that I will send her flying trough the roof" declared Helen.

"Alright I will talk to her" said Clare glancing over to Jean who is a couple of yards away practiceing her sword techniques.
"Don't talk to her, order her, your are the boss so act like it Clare or els I will......murf!" Helen's mouth was covered by Deneve's hand.

"Don't mind Helen, what she mean to say is to talk to Jean" said Deneve with her usual tone. Helen try to protested agains Deneve, but Deneve grip her like a wrestler doing a neck lock.

"Helen we need to talk" said Deneve draging Helen away from Clare. Clare sighed and looks at Jean, She then walks over to her. When Jean notice Her she stopped what she was doing and asked "what is it Clare?"

Clare looks around, her comrads are occupied with training. She does not mind anyone to ear on them as she talks to Jean, as long as they mind thier own business. But in this occasion she need a little bit more private space.

"Come with me" said Clare walking into the woods.
Without question Jean follows Clare. Clare then stop walking and turn to Jean.

"Clare? Is thier something wrong?" Asked Jean
"I recived some complains of what you did this morning" said Clare
"Complains?"
"When you woke up everyone this morning"
"I don't understand what you mean" said Jean unknowing the reason.
"Would you explain what you did this morning before dawn?"
"I woke up, went looking for you, came back to the room, told everyone you are missing, they did not get up, then........" Jean got quiet just realizing the reason for the complains.
"I woke up our comrads at a bad time, right?"
"Yes you did"
"But what if you really where missing?"
"Jean how many times did I told you to stop worrying about me?"
"Three times, but after that you told me to 'do what ever I what', and I decided to follow you every where until I repay my depth"

Clare puts her hand on her face, and shook her head. Its one of those moments when Clare is annoyed with Jean. Clare sigh.
"Is that all" said Jean
"Yes that is all, lets head back"

Both warriors head back. Jean continues her training, while Clare walks around observing everyone els. Once again someone calls her name.

"Clare!" Said Undine approaching "if this is about Jean, don't bother I already talk to her" said Clare
"This isn't about Jean, its about something els that has been bothering me for a while"
"Well?"
"Would you tell that girl to stop following you"
"Girl? What Girl?" Clare looks behind her and found Tessa a couple of feet away from her. When she was discovered, she froze there not knowing what to do.
"Tessa?" Said Clare
"Is it that the girl you saved yesterday?" Asked Undine
"Yes, how long has she been following me?"
"For a long time, watching her following you as you walk around distracts me from training"
Clare approach Tessa. Tessa still stands there and does not move an inch.
"Why are you following me Tessa?" Asked Clare
Tessa look at Undine who is looking still them. She then looks down at her feet.
"could you give us a moment" said Clare to Undine.
Undine grunted before returning to her training with three of the young warriors.

"Now then, why are you following me?" Asked Clare again

Tessa look up at Clare again and did some type of movement with her hands. Clare tries to understand her, but what she got was this. Tessa points to herself then at Clare, which means "me with Clare" or what Clare could undetstand.
"You cannot be with me right now" responded Clare "you need to be with the ither girls"
Tessa shook her head sideways.
"Tessa your friends are takeing lessons, it would not be fair for them if you skip out on Irene's lessons"
Tessa then stomp her foot firmly, with a pout face. It could probably mean "NO!" in her own firm way. Again she pointed to herself then to Clare. Clare sighed, giving in on Tessas demand.
"Alright, but just for today" said Clare
Tessa's face lights up, she hugs Clare around her waist. Without realizing Clare found herself patting Tessa's head again.

By Noon Clare gather all the warriors and announced the mission that will take in few days.
