CH 9: Problems and Departure

(The Girls POV)

It is late at night, and the church is silence of sleeping nuns, priests, warriors, and that familiar snoring sound from Raki, but not the girls.

"Tessa is with big sister Clare Again?" Said Ethel
"Yep" responded Jane looking at the empty sleeping mat next to her.
Tonight all the girls are up beacuse they are concern with something. With little time they have, before the warriors set out to kill an abyssal one, they fear some may not return.
"I never seen Tessa so happy" continue Jane.
"Yeah watching Tessa being happy with big sister makes me feel like I want a big sister too" said Gina.
All the girls agree with the comments. For a long time they have not felt what is like to love someone again. They know how friendship feels, but what they want now is true love from someone, sort of like a parent's love.

"You know what? Someday a family will come to the orphanage and adopt us" said a girl.

"Madison get your head out of the grave" said Ethel
"Huh?" Question Madison
"No human family will adopt us half breed monsters"
"But everyone are nice to us, the humans I mean"
"Thats beacuse of big sister Clare" said another Girl.
"What do you mean Ray?"
"I herd from a some human solder that big sister Clare kill a yoma that hid in the church, if it wasen't for her this town will be in ruins" said Ray "they are just repaying her, simple as that"

"Yeah But...." Madison got quiet and so did everyone els. They don't know what to do with themselves.

"We are never going to have a normal family, right?" sighed Gina.
Everyone nodded.

"Who cares about a normal family" said a male voice
"ahhhhhh!!!!" Yelled all the girls
"Shuuu! You will wake up the whole church" said Raki

Everone sigh is relif.
"Big brother don't scare us like that" said Madison.
"Sorry" grin Raki, he then sit on the floor with the girls.
"Big brother where you spying on us?" Said Ethel.
"Who can sleep when your talking"
"You herd everything?" Asked Jane.
"Yes and let me tell you something to everyone of you" said Raki "you can have a family among your big sisters"
"Big brother its impossible....." started Ray.
"It is possible, look at Tessa and Miata, they have someone they love"
"Miata does not count, she is kind of strange and calls big sister Clarice 'mama', eventhough she is not truly Miata's mother" said Gina.
"Thats how she views Clarice, as her Mother" said Ralki "and what about you is there someone that you like to be with?"

Gina took a moment before answering.
"I like to be with Galatea, she is so cool, she can sense a yoma a couple miles away" said Gina getting Excited.
"I like Undine, she is so tough, strong, and does not let anyone mess with her" said Ray.
"Except Big sister Clare and Big sister Flora" said Ethel, with a smirk.
Ray gave Ethel a slight glare.

Raki had a nervous look, he quickly speaks to calm the tension.
"You see everyone has a big sister they like, and you did not use the 'big sister' term when you said thier names"

All the girls got quiet. This silence Kind of scares Raki.
"Hey are you girls al....," started Raki
"Ok! everone starting tomarrow we will follow Tessa's example" said Jane suddenly getting up.
"Right" said everone.
"Huh?" Said Raki, confused.
"We will follow our big sisters around, get to know them and maby they will adopt us" said Jane.
"Right!" Said everyone
"Huh?"
"No more stareing at the church doors hopeing to be abopted" said Ethel getting up.
"Yeah!" Said everyone.
"Huh?" Said Raki, confused again.
"Lets go to sleep eveyone, tomarrow will be an exciting day" said Madison.

All the girls went to thier sleeping mats and tuck themselves in.
"Good nigh big brother" said the girls.

Raki is still sitting on the floor in a daze. He was dumestruck by the girls reaction that it took a moments to realize what they mean by following Tessa's example. He then sigh and smirk.
"Oh man! Tomarrow is going to be a crazy day, for both me and the 25 lucky big sisters"
