CH 7: The Decision

(Raki POV)
Night fell and the entire city of Rebona are asleep, except for the human guards who wander the city. In the temple Raki makes sure the girls are asleep. He also check the ones that sneak out once in a while. He kind of got scold for not noticing. The girls are sleeping on mats that are placed on the floor. When they first arrive, father Vicente had to apologize, beacuse its all they can offer. At least they have a warm place to sleep on. They are all asleep except for Tessa.

"Whats wrong Tessa? Can't sleep?" Asked Raki.
She nodded her head.
Raki sits next to her to give her some company. Tessa is the only one that has trouble sleeping. She is never really at ease. Despite her trouble with sleeping, Raki also never herd her talk, all she does is shake or nod her head giving a no or yes for an answer. He asked the other girls if Tessa really talks he even ask Jane, but all of them said they never herd her talk. Jane said that when they where in the organization she herd the weird guys in the black clothes said that she is mute and if she were survive the training they would title her "Silent Tessa".
But now she and these young girls are no longer under the influence of the organization. They are now under the protection of the Claymores and his watchful eye. Since he is so good with kids he end up watching over them. Its kind of sucks in the begining but as he gets to know them its wasen't so bad. He wish the girls can have a normal family, but no one wants to foster a Claymore even though they respect the older Claymores. Maby they still fear them. Its what gets Raki's blood pumping, If people where to see the Claymores as people then they would understand them like he did. But not everyone is like him, all raki could do is think of another solution.

"What if?" He wispered to himself. His thoughts where inturrupted by Tessa tugging his shirt.
"Sorry Tessa" he said "go to sleep"
Tessa shook her head.
"Can you at least try, I need to speak with big sister Clare"
It took a moment for Tessa to nod. Raki smiled and tuck her in before he quietly leaves the room.
He made his way to the baptizing hall where a meeting is takeing place. Outside of the hall two warriors guard the entrance.
"Yuma, Cynthia " greeted Raki
"Raki" said Cynthia "what brings you at this hour?"
"I need to speak to Clare"
"Sorry Raki no one is to enter, Clare's orders" said Yuma.
"Is it really that important?"
"Yes but we will not give you any information about what they are speaking off" said Cynthia
"I can see why Clare trust you both so much"
"And why do you need to speak to Clare at this hour? Shouldn't you be sleeping?"
"The night is still young so I will wait for Clare"
Raki sits on a fallen stone a couple yards from the gate
"Stuborn Boy" said Yuma
"I am not a boy I am a man now" said Raki
"You may be a young man to the humans but to us you are still a boy" said Cynthia
"Ugh! hope the meeting is short" said Raki.
"They haven't even started so I suggest you get comfortable" said Yuma
"Its that important huh?"
Both warriors nodded thier heads.

(The Meeting POV)

There was silence in the room, not that normal calm silence but more like "I got a bad feeling" type of silence. Every captain of five units are presented including Irean. They are standing in the center of the hall. All with thier attention on Clare.

"Hey Clare you been silent for like a while and its creeping me out" said Helen
"Helen weren't you listening a moment ago" said Deneve
"Not really"
"Before we could talk we need to make sure no one is listening"
"Is it that what yuma and Tabeth are for" said Helen pointing at the double doors"
"Yes but they also need to make an aura scan too" said Flora
"And how long will that take? All night?"
"We could play puzzles to pass the time" said Ophelia
"Uh no thanks" said Helen feeling creeped out.
"Stop it Ophelia!" said Veronica
"Why? Do you want to play puzzles with me?"
"No"
"Aww come on"
"Shut up Ophelia" said Undine getting annoyed.
"You should not say something that mean to a fellow warrior"
"If you don't shut your mouth, I will shut it for you"
"How? Are you going to cut off my tongue or rip my vocal cords out?"
"Why you...."
"Enough you two!" Said Clare
Undine settles down. Ophelia winks at Undine, pissing her off evenmore.
"Ophelia" said Clare
"Yes?" She Answered
"Stop it"
"Yes mame"
She then stopped provoking everyone els. It comes to no surprise that Ophelia listens to no one except Clare. Most warriors want to ask Clare why? Or how?, but they never got around to ask her.
