I'd been holed up in my room for a while, hiding from the world and, more importantly, hiding from my problems. The kind of problems you can't solve by just getting up and 'being productive,' no matter what Iida would preach.

My elbows rested on the cool countertop, fingers drumming in rhythm with the faint music humming from my phone.

Outside my window, a rainbow stretched across the sky like someone had painted it just for me. It almost looked fake- too perfect against the soft gray clouds.

My eyes followed the arc while my mind stayed numb, drifting anywhere but reality.

I sighed, letting my head drop forward so a loose curtain of hair swayed over my face. The wind pushed gently through the open window, teasing the strands.

A knock at my door broke the quiet.

"Dinner is ready and prepared. Come down and join us!" Iida's voice rang through, sharp and precise like he was making a formal announcement to the UN. He lingered just long enough for me to imagine his expectant expression, then his footsteps retreated down the hall.

I didn't move right away. Instead, my gaze returned to the rainbow...only to feel a sudden shift in the air. The hairs on the back of my neck prickled.

That's when I saw him.

Down below, standing in the courtyard, was him- camera on his face, that same unsettling smile plastered there like we were old friends. The lens clicked, the faint sound reaching me even from up here. Then, as if this was the most normal interaction in the world, he gave me a little wave before strolling off.

Honestly, what does he want?

My glare followed him until he disappeared from view. "Asshole," I muttered, slamming the window shut before heading downstairs.

The dining hall buzzed with chatter and clattering dishes. Katsuki sat off to the side, glaring- not just his usual scowl, but something heavier, guarded. I didn't return it. I had no energy for whatever storm was brewing in his head.

Todoroki was at another table, sitting with the quiet ones. His presence was calm, almost too calm compared to the chaos of everyone else.

The peace shattered when Deku and Uraraka burst in, grinning like kids on Christmas morning. "All Might brought us meat buns!" Uraraka announced. The room erupted in excitement. Chairs scraped, voices overlapped, and within seconds everyone was crowding around with trays like starving wolves.

I stayed seated, quietly picking at my rice and tofu while the frenzy unfolded. Watching people eat wasn't creepy- at least not compared to other things in my life.

Try having a literal ghost inside you that turns out to be your past life. That'll adjust your definition of 'weird' real fast. Especially when you have ghost sex dreams that are somewhat real enough to give you a hickey.

Deku's stood across the room, holding two steaming buns, eyes darting nervously toward me. He didn't know whether to come up to me or throw it at me.

Before he could cross the distance, Todoroki intercepted him. They exchanged a few quiet words, Deku scratching at the back of his neck. Then Deku's eyes went wide, like Todoroki had just dropped a bomb on him. After a beat, Deku handed one bun over.

Todoroki turned toward me, bun in hand, his gaze steady.

What is he doing? Katsuki's gonna flip.
