When I was zipping through the hallways, I could feel Iranaka's energy fade. The waves of his presence, once chaotic and all consuming, began to still. He was turning back into regular size and finally giving my eyes back.

Finally, took them long enough.

My world snapped into perfect focus- every vibration of energy, every life source flickering in the maze of corridors beneath me.

Now with my power back to its normal level, I could track down Eri or Mirio faster. The thing was that they were already together, and with Overhaul.

That made my pulse spike.

"He can handle himself for a while," I mumbled to myself as I sped up. My voice echoed faintly behind me, swallowed by the roar of air as I launched forward.

I set out orbs miles in front of me where walls were before I got there and flew past the debris. Each glowing sphere darted through the shadows, mapping the path ahead, obliterating anything in my way before I even reached it. The air cracked with their force- each detonation another barrier gone.

Using my power, I could see that half of Mirio's energy was fading and Overhaul was getting stronger, and as for the other person who was with them- they were out like a light, but not dead.

My stomach twisted. The faint flicker of Mirio's strength was barely hanging on.

CRASH!!

The last wall finally went down before a circle of orbs went to Overhaul and exploded, causing him to fall over, but not before he touched his arm.

The shockwave tore through the chamber, shattering pipes, cracking tiles, and sending metal panels crashing to the floor. A roar of heat rolled over me, my short hair lifting in the blast.

I faintly glanced at Mirio and Eri, already feeling the blonde's life fading.

He was bleeding- bad. His energy pulsed like a dying ember.

Clenching my jaw, I made an orb platform next to them at floor level. "Mirio, get yourself and Eri onto the platform! I got this!"

Overhaul coughed with a wince before meeting my gaze. "Oh, isn't this nice-"

A bowling ball- size orb exploded next to him, knocking the air out of him and making him fall to the floor.

The blast left a blackened crater where he'd been standing. The sound tore through the air like thunder.

I looked at him with disgust. "Speak when spoken to."

The glare I gave him could've cracked steel.

Mirio's head slowly raised, blood dripping down his cheek. "Are you sure?" he asked weakly, while Eri looked at me, shocked, her tiny hands trembling.

I clenched my fist. "Now," I said sternly before throwing a chainlink of orbs at Overhaul while he shaped the ground so that spikes shot up to me.

The earth beneath my orbs shattered like glass, concrete spikes lunging toward me in waves. I twisted and flew upward, air whipping against my face, as sharp edges sliced through where I'd just been.

I dodged them as I zipped through the air and around like I was an aircraft, making orbs go near him and exploding randomly while some got hit by his spikes.

The sound was deafening- metal groaning, explosions shaking the walls, dust filling every corner of the room. Sparks and light danced across the chaos like lightning, the glow of my orbs cutting through the storm.
