Social services comes tomorrow to make sure our house is suitable for Cassie and that we have enough money to care for her.
We had to throw out all alcohol. I mean we were going to anyway because we did not want to end up like my step dad , and it was better for our soon to be kid so we pretty much now had no choice.
After we threw out every single drop of the alcohol and we decided to throw out the 3 leftover cigarettes that contained weed from my party 3 months ago.
Social services came and after they were done they handed us a paper with many checks and 1 X.
The X that was on our list is that we didn't have any pets, they recommended pets so that the child that was being adopted would stay happy. Studies apparently had shown that kids with pets were 34% more happy than those without.
So we went to the pet store. I told Joey he could pick out a fish and that his new sister could pick out a puppy with him once she arrived at the pet store.
He picked out a gold fish and than me and Ryan picked out two fish bowls and 2 containers of fish food. Joey than picked out a decoration for the fish bowl while we said hi to Cassie and told her she could pick out a fish and a decoration.
She picked a black fish and a princess house decoration for her fish. Joey had picked out a pirate ship. Joey ran over to the puppies but Cassie ran over to the kittens. Joey had begged us to get a 2 month old beagle and we told Cassie that she could pick out one kitten. She picked out a 6 week old white kitten with blue eyes.it was so adorable. We got the food for the dog and cat and a scratcher post with a bed attached and a dog bed with a tennis ball. Our total came out to 214.37 dollars and I thought I was going to pass out.
at least now my home would be 100% approved and we would get Cassie no matter what.In fact we get her to our selves in 3 days. I'm so excited.
We told Cassie that she could see her kitten and her fish in 3 days and that her new brother Joey would take care of them for her until then.

Joey took the dog out for a walk 2 times a day fed the fish once a day. He played with the kitten for 15 minutes every day 5 minutes at a time. He also cleaned out the kittens litterbox once and took the dog out to go potty 8 times until Cassie came.
They were like 2 peas in a pod with all of their pets.
A plus for me was the puppy and kitten didn't fight and they both liked to cuddle on my lap while I watched TV.
