3 years later....
Joey had been eyeing Izzy for the last 3 months.
I never even knew he liked her.One day he did something that just made my heart practically skip a beat.
He asked her out.
She said okay and than he did something even more surprising ,He kissed her!
I guess I should stop watching Joey through our blinds.
Joey has grown up so much in the last few years.He has started reading in the teenage center at the library and he tries to earn money around the house by doing my laundry and sweeping the floor.I told him I would give him a quarter for every 5 pieces of clothing he does of mine just so he could make a dollar or two for candy.
He stopped taking baths and started taking showers.
He even stopped asking us to read him bedtime stories. He no longer used a nightlight and he started wanting polo shirts and jeans instead of cartoon shirts and shorts.
My sort of kid was growing up way to fast for me to catch up.
