I ducked into the store, all eyes on me. Miles leaned back on a wall, the biggest grin I'd ever seen on his face. He rose a brow as I sat down next to Avery.

"What happened?" She asked softly, looking up at me. I shook my head, "Nothing Av."

"Where'd Iris go?" Avery asked, frowning.

"I don't know Avery! Probably still at the warehouse." I said, agitated.

"Everyone pack up, we're heading back to the lab tomorrow to rescue Aaron and look out for Taylor. Everybody must carry they're own load. Clear?" Chip asked, looking around.

"Who died and made you king?" Miles asked, raising a brow. Chip rolled his eyes, "Shut it Miles. I'm just trying to keep everyone in line."

"Guys, let's not fight." Avery said, walking over to the bags Miles brought and pulling out a bright pink backpack. She began filling it with food, clothing and other things, such as a pocket knife.

I grabbed a brown leather bag and filled it with food and two large kitchen knives. A part of me wished I had a gun, but knives were more stealthier.

Miles and Chip joined me, digging through the plastic bags. I looked at Miles, "May I speak to you outside?"

Miles smirked, "Okey dokey. Let's go."

I lead him out the front, stopping him once we were outside, "What was that?"

"What was what?" He asked, the smile never flattering.

"You kissed me!" I cried, "Why?"

Miles tilted his head, "Because I like you."

I sighed, "Wouldn't that be gay?"

Miles shrugged, "I guess. I don't like labels, but yeah, I'm gay."

I sighed, "Well I like you too, okay?"

Miles grinned, "And...?"

"I'm gay too." I said, a small smile forming.

Miles threw his arm over my shoulder, "Awesome! That takes a lot of awkwardness out of the kiss."

"So does this uh, make us a couple?" I asked, digging my foot in the ground.

"Yeah, I think it does." Miles said, staring intently at me. I looked up to meet his gaze. I took in his handsome features, letting my inner emotions take control as I took a step towards him. Miles also took a step forward, as if he was in a trance.

"I love you Miles, you've always been there for me." I said, smiling at him. Miles grinned, "Love you too Jace." He put a hand on my shoulder and we embraced, our lips pressed against one another. I closed my eyes, pressing against him as I accepted my new emotions. I noted that he smelled like cinnamon. We slowly drew back, gasping for breath. We forgot to breath through our noses.

"Damn, you're one hell of a kisser." Miles said, grinning.

"Same goes to you Romeo." I teased, smiling back.

"Alright let's head back in, don't want to scare them." Miles said.

"Are uh, we gonna tell them?" I asked.

"Eh, they'll figure it out soon enough." Miles said, walking back towards the hole. I followed him in, Avery and Chip looking down at something. We sat down next to them.

"What do you got there?" Miles asked, Avery revealing a stack of cards.

"Aw yeah, we can play Bullshit!" Miles cried, snatching up he cards. "It's simple, we go from ace to king. However if you don't have the card, you can lie. But if someone catches you, they can call Bullshit and you have to take the pile if their right. It's simple."

He dealt the cards, all facedown. The game began, everyone having a blast as we put down cards, poker faces all around. Miles loved calling Bullshit, while Avery never did once. Near the end, Chip slapped down his last card, his lips pulled up in a smile.

"Hmm..." Miles countered, "Bullshit!"

Chip flipped over a ten, proving that he won. He fist pumped, "Aw yeah!"

Avery grinned, "I lied so many times."

"Me too!" I said, leaning against Miles. He grinned at me, "I call a round two!"

We continued playing as the sun began to set. Tomorrow is a new day.
