Taehyung was roaming around the vampire castle, his fingers gently tracing the intricate carvings that adorned the ancient stone walls. He had some free time, so why not roam around the place?
The torches lining the corridor flickered with a dull orange glow, casting long shadows that danced like silent spirits.
Each hallway echoed centuries of whispered secrets and forgotten blood oaths. Something about the cold, musty air felt oddly familiar—as if the stones themselves remembered him.
As he turned into a narrow corridor hidden behind a tattered crimson tapestry, a chill ran down his spine. His eyes caught a faint shimmer on the wall—an unusual symbol etched into the stone, one he hadn’t noticed before. Compelled by instinct rather than reason, he pressed his palm against it.
A soft rumble vibrated through the wall, and slowly, a section of the stone shifted, revealing a hidden passage cloaked in darkness.
He hesitated. His heart pounded.
Then, curiosity overcame fear.
He stepped inside.
The air was heavier here, laced with old magic. The stone door slid shut behind him, locking the outside world away. As he walked forward, torchlight magically sparked to life along the walls, revealing an underground chamber lined with dusty tomes, ancient weapons, and a massive mural—faded but powerful—of a vampire king crowned in blood.
At the centre stood a black marble coffin.
And carved beneath it, in forgotten runes, were the words:
"He who awakens the bloodbound past shall not walk unchanged."
He stepped closer, drawn to the coffin as if an invisible thread tethered him to it. The runes beneath his feet pulsed faintly with a red glow, like a heartbeat buried beneath the stone.
Something stirred inside him.
Memories—not his, but deeply embedded within his soul—flashed like lightning behind his eyes. He saw fragments: a crown dipped in blood, a silver blade burning with sunlight, a kiss beneath a blood moon. A name echoed in his mind, whispered by a voice that didn’t belong to this world.
"Jungkook…"
The name sent a tremor through his bones. He stumbled back, his breath sharp and uneven.
Suddenly, the lid of the coffin groaned.
It shifted—only an inch—but enough to make the silence scream.
"No…" he breathed, taking a step back. But the door had vanished. The chamber had no exit anymore. Only fate awaited him inside a centuries-sealed tomb.
Then, the lid slid fully open.
From the shadows within, a pale hand emerged—adorned with silver rings and dried blood under the nails. A voice, hoarse with centuries of slumber, broke the air:
"You came back… to protect him, who is yours since your birth..."
His blood turned cold.
Taehyung tried to speak, but his voice faltered. The figure began to rise from the coffin—tall, regal, and impossibly familiar.
“You died in his arms,” the vampire whispered, eyes like red fire catching his face. “And yet you stand before me again, you came back for him.”
