"Your brother..."

Taehyung froze for a moment and ask again with a little shaky breath.

"I... I have no brother..." The grip around his dagger became weak, but his mind scattered after hearing the voice. He never heard this voice in his whole life.

"Open the door, Taehyung... you're my brother. My only family..."

The slow, deep voice caught back the senses of the blue-haired boy who stepped back from the window because no matter whether a normal human being was outside. It's too high for a normal human that made him frightened.

The sweat was dripping on his pale face, but he didn't notice the presence behind him, who wrapped his strong arms around his slim waist.

"Stay here." He just heard a little deep voice of Jungkook, and the next moment he was him jumped out from the window made Taehyung jolt in his place. He ran to the window to see Jungkook, but he was nowhere to be seen.

He was scared for him, for his crush... eyes roaming to search for Jungkook, but he saw just the bunch of large or tall trees around the window.

Impatiently waiting for the ravenette, he forgot to pack his secret box, so he covered them and quickly ran outside to see any other help out there, maybe Jimin??

Inside, the corridors were lined with faded crimson tapestries and candle sconces that never seemed to run dry, their flames flickering without wind.

The air was heavy with silence so profound it seemed to listen.

Taehyung ran through the grand hall, boots tapping against the polished marble floor, now veined with shadow. His breath clouded, not from cold, but from the weight of memory.

The scent of his prince lingered-sandalwood, bloodwine, and the crisp air of midnight. He could feel it more than smell it, a spectral trace woven into the very stones. Of course it was his castle, Jeon's Castle...

Soon, he reached the large heavy door. This was where they had met at last night-where the vampire prince had stood, robed in black and red, eyes like garnets burning in his pale face. Where a bond had formed, not of chains or fear, but of longing, hunger, and something deeper... a love that defied nature.

The blue-haired boy stopped for a while as he examined the whole body of the prince but couldn't decipher. A little frown approach to his pale forehead when he thinks he saw the ravenette prince in another attire.

"Nobody will tease you, my dear princess..."

The deep yet soothing voice of the King sends chills to his spine, but he needs to ask about the things that had happened before.

"Who... who was there? Did you, by any chance, catch him?"

Jungkook's eyes, darker than the midnight sky yet glowing with an unnatural crimson fire, locked onto blue-haired boy. Time seemed to still be under the weight of his gaze - ancient, commanding, and unbearably tender all at once.

He walked slowly, gracefully to the princess of his life. Who's breathe stop for a while because his mind was not understanding a single thing yet and his heart was continuosly defeating him in many things, things where he need to stop himself for fallen to his crush.

"Just a mere witch, don't worry. I handle him. He'll not bother you anymore. And I've good news for you."

The intense gaze of the ravenette who's eyes were roaming around the face of the pale boy infront of him change to the soft ones but the glimpse of the redness around the dark eyes didn't left.

"News??"

Jungkook pulled out a folder from his robe. Taehyung saw it, and his face became happy, as he forgot all the things at the mere touch of his mate. He hugged Jungkook tightly and left him with a smile plastered on his face.

"If I know you'll be this happy at this, I would bring it early." He tugged behind the ear, the stray loop of blue-hairs from the pale face of Taehyung who was lost in those dark stary eyes.

"Thanks, Jungkookie... I'll study hard." A soft smile spread on the thin lips of the ravenette.

"And my guard will stay with you all the time. So you'll be safe from any danger." Taehyung whined and stepped back, broke the intense attraction between them.

"Don't whined like a baby... stay close to them and if you need anything just call my name in your mind. Hmm??" Taehyung stared at him but nodded defeatedly.

Then he noticed his surroundings and a frown appeared at his face.

"But I don't know, when I came here?" His face was in confusion with a frown that he didn't notice the light smirk on the Jungkook's lips.

Now, the castle thrummed faintly under his skin as if it remembered too. A gust of wind whispered through the broken stained glass above the throne, and in it, he swore he heard his name-soft, almost mournful. The shadows seemed to lean toward him and caress his skin, like the prince's touch once had.

He paused before the throne, worn but regal, the velvet cushions faded yet untouched by dust. His fingers brushed the armrest, and he closed his eyes.

"I feel you," he murmured. "Even if you're gone."
