The drawing room was decorated beautifully as there was holding a big event. Taehyung was busy with his granny and Bogum hyung.
Jungkook's observant eyes were roaming all around. He can't forget the things that haunted him and made him restless without his family. He was living like an orphan for all those years.
Every detail pressed against his instincts like sharp thorns. The silence felt staged, too carefully set in place, although he was not alone there.
The furniture was arranged in unnatural symmetry, the curtains drawn just enough to hide what might linger beyond the glass. On the table, a single candle burned, not for warmth, not for light, but like a beacon meant to draw him closer.
His gaze sharpened on the area. There were sharp silver things all around that must be harmful for any ordinary vampire but for Jungkook. Every object, the crystal vase, the half-filled glass of wine, the faint scent of metal in the air, spoke not of hospitality but of invitation. An invitation carefully designed for him.
Jungkook's lips curled back slightly. This wasn't a welcome. This was a stage. A trap woven with familiarity, disguised as comfort, yet screaming of betrayal. A living room transformed into an altar for his murder.
Taehyung noticed a little discomfort in Jungkook's face. He leaned toward him, placing his warm hand on his glove ones when Bogum left to help the granny, make the food.
"Kookie... is something bothering you?" The calmness of the voice makes him feel a little better but he can't ignore the fact now. He can't lose him, his mate, his family is in danger he can't let anyone touch him. He will never...
"I... I'm fine love..." After tucking his blue strand of hair behind his ear tenderly. "But can I request something?"
Taehyung nodded with a smile plastered with the unmeasured love in his eyes.
"I smell some danger... can we go home? We'll visit some other time. I promise... we'll visit soon." he quickly added because he can't afford the sadness in those duo eyes.
"But Kookie we just came. Are you feeling uncomfortable?" Jungkook shook his head.
"Nothing... it's just... I can't lose you. There are more in the house." He tried to explain but before Taehyung replied a loud voice Bogum got their attention.
"Dinner is ready... dig in..." There was smiling face of Bogum whom he couldn't neglect. He quickly walked to the dining area after dragging Jungkook with him who had no choice except to follow him but worry was evident in his eyes those were scanned the area.
"Where is Jin Hyung? Is he not living here anymore?" Taehyung asked Bogum but Granny replied instead of him.
"I met him... he will be here soon. Just went to buy some sweets. Oh, he must be here." She smiled when a car stopped outside the house because after a long time she was enjoying the time with his loved ones together.
Jin entered the house with a polite smile when his gaze fell on the couple sitting side by side, a memory hit him when he looked at the crimson eyes of Jungkook who smiled at Jin.
"Hello... I... sorry I think... I'm a little late." He smiled and sat beside Taehyung and Granny and served him dinner.
"No no... you're on time. Which flavour did you buy?" Bogum asked as they were both talking about the things Jin went to buy.
